Roush supercharger vs ford racing whipple?

Is the whipple worth the additional $1500. Anyone have either and thoughts on them. Thanks!

Reasoning behind your choices , or is it just personal preference. If I'm gunna drop extra $1500 like it to be a big difference.

For racing yes for street driving absolutely not. 450rwhp is 450rwhp that part is no different what is different is the Whipple runs cool at wide open throttle while a Eaton runs cool at normal street driving pace. You tell me what percentage of the time are you at full throttle? If you plan on making more than 450rwhp it will cost you at least $15,000 then the extra for the Whipple pays off at 450rwhp no way.

I have the TVS,, Neither has any real advantage over the other, With forged internals, they'll both get you into the mid-600's.

The big price difference you're asking about is the Whipple comes with the GT500 fuel pumps and a tune,, The Roush is a tuner kit without fuel pumps or a tune.

You can get the TVS with the fuel pump and tune and it'll be the same price as the Whipple. Dump the canned tunes and get a custom tune for whatever kit you git.

There is a reason Ford chose the TVS it is better suited for street driving as it stays cool during low demand operation the Whipple gets hot sitting in traffic.

I think you'll find the cheap stuff (UMI, J&M) will work the same as the expensive stuff (Roush, Steeda),

I'm using Vogtland lowering springs, UMI adjustable UCA-1048, and UMI mount-1045 , and Eibach adjustable LCA- Eibach 5.72345k, Those have poly mounts so NVH isn't too bad.

I have Zero issues with wheel hop with 5000rpm launches on slicks or axle bind on a twisty road.

You'll find that 400+rwtq off idle will pretty much blow any tire off on the street, (even slicks with 16psi in em') so you'll need to adjust your driving and learn not to roast the tires everywhere you go.

You'll also find, burning the tread off will get expensive really quick.

For those of us running the stock H pipe, how long do you expect the catalytic converters to last with a supercharger application?

I would personally go with the edelbrock e-force but that's just my opinion.

As long as you have a good tune, this should not be a concern.

Great kit if you want 400RWHP out of the box, with no additional fuel or air intake changes required. I am pushing 4 years now with my kit and have zero complaints. My upgrade to the GT500 pumps was only due wanting to hit that 450RWHP mark... and in hindsight, was not worth the effort or investment. The low 400's was more than enough for fun on the streets

You can get 400 rwhp with a tune and cai. Is that really all you get with this kit? Would be a huge waste of $$$.
