JLT/BAMA installed

Well, I finally got around to ordering a CAI for my 10 GT. I ordered in last Sunday (2/27) and it was scheduled to be delivered Friday (3/4). Super fast delivery and great customer service from Chris here answering some questions. I was out of town so I arranged to pick it up Monday from UPS. Well, when I got there they had put it on the truck to be delivered so I drove ACROSS town during rush hour for nothing, and would have to do it again Tuesday. I was NOT happy.

Well, today I installed it. It was more involved than when I put one on my 06 GT, but not hard in the least. It probably took me 30 mins and I had to run in the apt to exchange tools a couple of times.

I didnt take any pics because, well, I didn't think to and we all know what they look like. I uploaded the 87 performance tune and took it for a test spin. First thing I noticed is the exhaust is throatier and sounds much better. The second thing I noticed it that HOLY CRAP! It woke the car up a lot!! I was a little concerned because I have read that with the FORD CAI they used up some of the power gain. Well, I will tell you, the car feels MUCH stronger now! I LOVE it. I went to a gym that is farther from my place than usual just so I could take some entrance ramps. I was giggling like a school girl the whole drive. I cant wait to put some 3.73s in it next month!!

Forget the 5.0!!! Well, maybe not,I would still LOVE to have one, but I do feel much better about my lowly 4.6 now. It feels mush stronger than my 06 ever did with the JLT/BAMA.

If you are on the fence, jump down, RUN to your computer and order a CAI from AmericanMuscle!!

I got the 87 street, 87 performance and an 89 performance. I will probably never use 93 as I am a poor teacher

I'm hoping to have the Steeda CAI within the next couple of weeks so I'm glad to hear that you noticed a difference. I noticed you have the Hurst shifter...what do you think of it? I'm trying to decide between that, the Roush, or the Steeda Tri-ax.

I actually dont have a hurst. I may try to pick one up this summer though. I have read all about the vibrating and think I can keep it from doing that. I just love the look of it.

Yeah I am leaning toward the steeda tri-ax. I like the fact that it has the stop bolts to protect the tranny. I also fits the hurst and roush arms.
