CAI/Tuner

Ordered a JLT CAI and tuner last Friday. Looks like it's scheduled to arrive sometime this Friday, can't wait to install and give her a run!

Please keep us posted, I am so interested in your thoughts after you get it all installed. I love my 2010gt just not sure what to mod yet.

Will do! I am patiently "cleaning" around the house until UPS arrives. I have decided on this mod and then an axle back later on. For exterior body mods I'm looking at a GT500 rear spoiler, then a RTR rear valance. I'm not real fond of the stock spoiler my GT came with....it seems to small on.

Really?? Wow, I guess I should have asked about the airaid! When I looked at those they appeared to be the low price point CAI's so I went with JLT.

I almost got the Steeda, but figured for the price I'd be happy with JLT. It's killing me sitting here waiting for Mr. UPS!!

Got it in. For those of us "novice" under the hood guys, the 45 minute installation isn't gonna cut it. The CAI took me about two hours, mostly because I'm novice and really poor instructions. The Tuner is awesome though, really quick 15 minutes and your ready. So far I'm running the 89 performance and certainly notice a change. I have yet to be able to "really" test it out due to heavy traffic from the state fair. Seems like there is a bit more punch in the low end...4th and 5th seems to be about the same. More later....

Sounds great, I am really wanting to get the same one you got. How does it sound?

Well, it was the first thing my seven year old daughter noticed when I took her for a cruise. I'd say it's much more defined in lower gears, sounds stock in 4th and 5th. If you get the combo, make sure you have a 10mm deep socket on hand. Comes in handy when moving the power steering reservoir.

So have you had a chance to open it up and see just how much of an improvment it has made? I think I am ordering this weekend.

I did get a chance to have some fun. I'm certainly noticing a deeper growl and the engine seems to be more "awake". RPM's seem to be much higher than before at regular driving levels. I really like 2nd and 3rd gear, it really seems to be much more powerful in those gears. 1st, 4th and 5th are improvements but much more modest....even in the 91 octane mode.

Did you get yours?
