My "new" 2010 in torch red

Behold my first Mustang, a 2010 Gt (not premium) acquired two weeks ago. It has 7,100 miles on it. Not 71,000, 7,100, as in seven thousand, one hundred.

There is not so much as a fingerprint anywhere on it. I want to upgrade the wheels and tires but they are in absolute show room pristine condition as it is. I may keep the originals in storage and just put them back on when I go to sell it in a year or two. I guess this is a common practice (?) Cheers, Rob

Congrats Rob, she is a beauty! 7,100 miles is awesome. Mine has 10,500 miles as of now. (bought new June 2010) It looks like the previous owner babied theirs too. Do you plan on doing any mods or leaving her as is?

Andrew

Hi Andrew, and thanks. Mine has the 5-speed manual, and I suspect that in a year or two I will want an automatic and a convertible, so my present thinking is to upgrade the wheels, suspension and tires only, and maybe put in better seats, all of which I am hoping could be imported into the next car. I could then revert this one to stock and let the next owner customize it.

I am interested in both your wheels and your rear view camera. Can you provide details? Also, what's the story on your glass roof? Intriguing!

Thanks.

Of course, I say that it's "torch" red. It could be "race" red for all I know, but I think "torch" was the only red they made in 2010. Anyone can let me know if I'm wrong. I bought from a dealer and didn't ask.

Hi Rob, Mine is a premium model with the upgraded 401A interior package with the cashmire racing stripe down the seat. I love the 19 inch painted wheels and would not change those at all. I also love the Brembo wheels too, but they were not an option for the 2010 model year. The rearview camara is a must for this car. It came with my car and the camera sits in the rear spoiler on the car. (It actually makes the spoiler look better IMO) The glass roof is what made me fall in love my car. It is a full panoramic glass roof from the factory that really opens up the cabin. It comes with a somewhat transparant sunshade that you can open and close in case you just want the cabin a little darker on the inside. Most people who see my car don't even realize I have it until they get right up on it and then they see it, mostly because the car is black and hides it very easily. You will be very happy with your mustang. For me I have been thinking of buying a tuner for mine to get a few extra ponies but am still on the fence at the moment because $300.00 to $400.00 is a lot of money to spend right now. If you want to see what the glass roof looks like take a look at my profile. I have a picture of my interior with the sunshade open. With the factory 19 inch wheels Ford also gives you a strut tower brace which looks awesome over the engine.

Yep, Torch Red is 2010, Race Red is 11 up. Too be honest they are very similar in color. Also forgot to mention about the rearview camera that it shows up in your rearview mirror when you put the car in reverse. For cars with Nav. it shows on the Nav. screen. Sorry Rob forgot to mention that.
