How difficult was it to remove and cut the bumper? What about the removal of the sub woofer in the trunk? I have 2013 "dual pipe" GT500 mufflers and a rear valance sitting in my basement.

Yes, I have viewed the video and instructions on Americanmuscle.com, but it's always best to just get an impression from a guy that did the install from scratch!

There's no need to remove the bumper. I just had the rear on ramps. On the underside of the bumper you'll see a clear line of where you need to cut. Brace yourself and start cutting along that line, I used a Dremel. Then you have to make a couple of slits on the bumper for the a few clips on the valance to go in. You also need to remove the reflectors and the black plastic piece so u can fit the rest of the clips on the valance. It's not hard at all. Any other questions let me no.

Very cool to know that the valence swap can be done without removing the bumper. Seems like that way you don't have to worry about marring the paint while removing/reinstalling the bumper.

Oh...and about those videos.............C'MON BROTHER!!!!!!

Wow! I see the result and it looks perfect! I wonder why AmericanMuscle and others instruct to pull the bumper?

Oh, what Dremel tool did use to make the cut? Think there is enough room for a body saw to make the cut/cuts? I would go look at my Mustang, but its dark and raining.

Sorry for being impatient bud. I haven't heard any good quality vids of the Borla quad tip axle back setup on a 5.0 and the suspense is getting to me!

Hmm im not really fimiliar with the saw you are talking about. I used a handheld dremel and that worked just fine. It may be hard with a bigger saw to cut the curve around the muffler outlet.

Pretty sure he is talking about a tiny reciprocating body saw, rather than a Dremel. Either should work fine. Depends on what you have in your tool box.

Got it. Yes, as long as the tool is small and portable you should have no problems.

Thanks for the info, but a couple of more questions: 1) How difficult was it to cut the nine small rectangular holes into which the valance snaps into; 2) how difficult was it to fit the white fasteners to secure the valance; 3) what Dremel attachment/bit did you use to cut?

1. It wasn't bad at all. They don't have to be perfect as long as they aren't to big where the clip can easily slide out. Just take your time.

2. If you're talking about the fasteners that hold that gt500 flappy thing on not bad at all. The hardest part was getting the old ones off the old bumper

3. I used a really rough skinny cylinder looking bit. It worked well. I stayed below the line careful not to go over it. Remember the valance will cover up any imperfections so it doesn't have to be perfect!

Just relax and take your time and you'll be fine.

I crawled under my GT to check out the view, and it looks awful tight! Did you remove the mufflers before making your cuts? Also, the fasteners I speak of, nine to be exact, are white and half moon shaped. They hold the "tangs" on the valance in place so there is no shifting at all. I will send a pic of the fasteners.

Yes the mufflers were removed then I made te cuts. It would help it you jack up the back or drive the rear tires up on ramps so it gives you some more room to work with.

Yeah I figured you were talking about those. If u look at the stock bumper it has the same tangs that use the white clips. You can reuse them for the gt500 valance or use the ones on the gt500 valance your choice.
