The rear black spoiler from a '12 Boss 302 and the Ford matte decklid blackout decal left my hands this morning. When the car was returned, I wound up with the spoiler on but the decal replaced with a custom gloss black decal. The body person had trouble with the Ford decal and crumpled it. They offered to replace it at cost with another decal but they did not have matte black color available. I took the gloss black one and will see how I like it. If it doesn't do it for me, I am going to get the area painted in a matte black color.

I had been holding off on making these changes, thinking I might let this car go for a Boss 302, but I am "committed" now :-) Interestingly, the look is reminiscent of the gloss black 2013 decklid.

This casual photographer had a hard time in the lower light of the later evening capturing the essence of the sterling grey and black contrast. I need to try again tomorrow at an earlier time.

Lastly, absolutely none of the decals are a 100% match of the Ford versions. This is possibly "good car karma", wherein the GT has a look inspired by but not a clone of the Boss 302.

Thinking about an axleback exhaust now!

Tony - I love watching all the progress of your GT. It looks great. Even the gloss black deck lid decal IMO looks great. Are all your other decals gloss black?

Thank you! Yes, all the other decals are gloss black, so color-wise, it goes together.

Mustang Racing Technologies (MRT) in Plymouth, MI, had a set of the same 19" Ford wheels painted in gloss black. I think the black decal accents go together color-wise with the wheels.

ProMotorStripes - recommended to me by one of the Boss 302 owners. Good folks...they custom designed and cut the C part of the C-stripe so that it would line up better with the placement of the GT emblem.

A few more...

Plus, this car now has the MRT Interceptor axleback. I was looking for a little deeper tone than stock but the same "non-droniness" as the stock system. I have the stock H-pipe and cats in place.

It's like turning up the volume about 5-10% but the throatiness is really was what I was after. These axleback mufflers provide it. Sound clips soon.

The rear looks kind of high because the rear half of the car is on a sloping driveway. That said, when it gets retired from daily driver duty, it is likely to have suspension changes made to it.

Thank you! Where was yours? I tried to find all the sterling grey cars. No doubt I saw it along the way.
