Matte or Gloss Black?

So I'm agonizing over whether to dress up my 2014 SG GT with matte black or gloss black wheels, stripes, etc. It seems like it would be better to not mix the two. Opinions?

And whose idea was it to use a glossy decklid panel along with that matte ribbed license plate area panel? Ugh.

Depends on the wheel type but I have seen the matte black wheels looking very nice on SG mustangs. It also depends on the look you want to go for. I am going for something different and will have another color for my stripes while having gloss gray wheels with a chrome lip (true forged wheels). You can change the matte ribbed license plate area but I don't mind it and I love the gloss black by the tail lights. I like shiny over matte personally. It is all a matter of personal preference. I feel matte is more race car like and gloss is more show car.

Thanks. How would you go about changing the matte ribbed license are thing? Does someone make a gloss replacement?

I would go with a satin black myself. I never liked glossy parts on a car, but a nice satin/semi gloss is a good compromise when matte isn't appropriate.

Toad, the gloss looks really classy. I personally will be going for dual stripes but you make it hard to just go with the matte black I was considering. I agree the matte black looks a bit 'meaner' while the glossy looks fit for class and a show.

The part that really steers me toward matte is the fact that I have a matte black side stripe that I don't want to remove. Any thoughts anyone? Also thinking about painting my brake calipers. Red looks slick but I'm trying to keep away from Ohio State colors...i'm a different big10 fan Any ideas for other colors that might look good?

I had mine painted silver to go back to the clean look of new brakes, but I have glass black wheels. Take a look here.

i also have the performance package and the gloss goes well with the rocker stripe.

I have the performance package too but it didn't come with a stripe. I added the stripe and decklid spoiler option as equipment group 201a and got the matte black side stripe above the rocker which is why I'm leaning more towards matte black OTT double stripes. But gloss black stripes would match my performance package mirrors which are gloss black. Ugh

I had stripes twice and the vinyl kept corroding and getting spots. I really liked the look. I have considered having the stripes painted in matte black.
