finally -- new wheels and suspension!
i'm a new-ish member of the site and as it happens i was finally able to get my new wheel setup and suspension installed just yesterday. i'd been sitting on the suspension parts for almost a year because it took me about that long to get my act together and save up for the wheel/tire combo.
after installation, things are a bit "bouncier" than stock, but nothing outrageous. i love all of it to tell you the truth!
btw, my GT is the very first domestic i've ever owned as i come mostly from import/euro makes. that said, what better way to start it off than with SGM right?
anyway thanks for letting me gush with pics (including some before and after images)

Gotta say again... Awesome looking job with the suspension and tires. I might have to reconsider my initial idea of getting 20" wheels. The 19" ones with your suspension is a great combo.
well i already knew what kind of suspension i wanted so getting the package from LMR was a pretty easy call. i got those parts almost a year ago though, and before getting the wheels/tires, i got sidetracked financially and couldn't jump in with getting everything installed like i'd planned originally.
what that did do was allow me to take more time to decide on my wheels. there's so many great choices out there. i was originally going to go with RTRs, then maybe some GT500s or something similar, then i thought maybe Bullitts, then finally settling on the AMRs.
i tell you, when i look at my car parked there i don't regret my setup one bit.

i also swapped out the stock panhard bar for an adjustable one from J&M.
Love your look, nice job. Can you elaborate on the 'bouncey' thing a little more? Say your taking a cross country trip, 1000s of miles with your new setup...Lots of backroads and less than 'autobahn' type pavement...are you havin fun, or do you hate yourself in the morning?

i will say this too, on a nice, curvy road, you can definitely feel the difference -- especially with the new sway bar i have on there. it's a Whiteline rsb set to medium stiffness. the stock suspension made me feel like i was going to tip over when i took a corner too tight. now my turn-ins are way more confident and i don't sweat it.
Saw the first pic and thought "yeah, that is a nice set-up, but I think that's a stock wheel..."
...then I saw the AFTER picture and thought "wow, that just looks MEAN!"
Good look!
I'm coming from a string of European cars as well- but none of them put down the raw power of the GT...
