I have only had her about a month but have gotten a few things done. Still wanting to redo the seats in leather and get rid of some of that wheel gap. Plus a few other little things here and there.

The first mod I did to mine was leather seats. Makes a huge difference.

I too want to redo my seats in leather at a later date. I have my eye on that saddle leather. What percent tint did you do? I need to tint mine but it can get pricey like everything else haha

Yeah, I am planning on getting the leather soon, just trying to figure out if I can do the install myself or if I need to find someone to do it for me.

I went with 20%. I did 32% on my first car and didn't like it at all, it was way to light. I went with 20% on my last truck and it was perfect so I knew I had to go with at least 20% on the Mustang.

I bought leather take off's from Ebay. They are not easy to install but not real bad. I watched a youtube video and went from there. Back seat is easy but fronts are difficult because the plastic pieces on the side are a pain unless you have a special tool to pinch the clips that attach them (I took the apholstery off as much as I could and reached in there with my hand) and getting the covers through the space where the back and bottom meet is kind of a pain. The only trick to the rear seats is reaching up into the back of the seat to release the headrests.

Also, the leather seats I got came off of electric seats and mine are manual so the driver's side I had to cut the apholstery in order to fit it around the shaft for the seat adjustments.

As much of a pain as it is, the difference in the feel and the ease of upkeep is worth every skinned knuckle and cut I got!

One more note, the dealer will need to re-baseline the seat so your passenger airbag will work properly with the weight of whoever is sitting there since the leather seats are tighter than the cloth. It is probably only a slight change but for safety sake, it's probably better if you have it re baselined.

Where gloves whenever you can. Metal will cut your fingers!

And disconnect your battery while you do the fronts.

Make sure you run the pull straps through and out of the acess hole on your rear seats or you won't be able to put your seat down anymore.

Awesome, I will definitely do the back seat myself. After reading up on it all it sounds like pieces breaking on the base is common so if I can find someone to just put on the oem take offs on I may have them do it depending on the cost. I would rather they break something and pay for it then me break something and pay for it.

But who knows, I am not a big fan of paying people for stuff I can do!

Or break it and not tell you they did or use epoxy to fix what they broke.

Thats true, I may do it myself. I found a set of take offs on ebay that look really good, they should be here Thursday and I will do the back seat and see how it goes. I need to figure out how to take out the back seat though.

The bottom seat, lift from the front and pull it towards you. The back of the seats have 3 bolts that hold them in and the releases for laying the seats down.

Watch this video. The back seat headrests are different though. You have to reach up into the back of the seat to find the releases.

I love those wheels, Gabe. Wish I could find a set of the 18's for mine. I hate to buy tires, too right now.

Love those wheels! Would like to get my hands on a set of them.

They just look really sharp on a SGM car!
