Cool 2014 GT impressive

i was running late for work dealing with some issues at home and remembered i had to meet some techs at work and meet a tow truck to have a truck LNG fueled up so i had to move it, my car just hooked and ripped, it hit 150 mph i literately thought i was doing like a 100 mph, man do these cars move, i was in 5th gear about 5000 rpm's so considering there was 2000 more rpm's to go before red line and another gear i was and amazed at these cars, it handles very well.
my cars has 20 inch AM rims on 285/30/20 Nitto Invo tires, so very pleased with this purchase and choice of car. Mustang GT does it again. Saweet.

They do fly. Just a few years ago you had to buy a six figure supercar for this kind of power.

Yeah, that is one thing that is amazing - how strong they are pulling even at that speed.

Not long after I purchased my 2013 GT MT on the highway for the first time I stopped at a rest stop on the MA turnpike for some fuel and some choke and puke fast food. Anyway when I was pulling out of the rest area the traffic was thick and a tractor trailer was coming up in the lane I was pulling on to. With little time to make a decision either I stop totally or nail it! I chose to nail it and let's just say I could not believe how fast I made that tractor trailer look like a little dot in my rear view quite quick! I was doing just under 100 mph when I looked down and backed off. I was like wow this car is quick!

Two things:
1) Yes, these cars are impressive, and
2) ENGLISH, ENGLISH mother****er, do you speak it?? We use punctuation marks and such to prevent run on sentences which make no sense!

Hopefully, this is a 14 y/o in his mother's basement or an adult who is playing with us. Otherwise, driving 100-150 mph on public roads, he is an incredibly dangerous driver endangering the lives of everyone one around him. I hope you lose your license before you kill someone.

well (smrbrz) Paul, everyone is entitle to their opinions, you and the college English professor (5.monster), I never said i do this daily or even monthly but i do know people in Connecticut are pretentious.
Tell me something Paul, i suppose you drive around 55 mph huh ? never going past the designated posted speed limit, right.... love those who preach, they are the ones full of it the most.

Corey, is your car tuned? If so, which tune is it? I'm just curious, because the last thing I heard is that these cars are restricted to about 148 mph from the factory. Just trying to figure out ,how you had a whole gear left at that speed.

Couldn't tell you that, I'm the 2nd owner, it had 10,400 miles on it when i bought it. I do know the rims and tires are not factory, it has a large tube JLT Intake, not a standard size I have been seeing on other GT engines, But yes, it did hit 150 mph and still could have gone more, I have been still performing research about this all over the web and I have been seeing answers such as 150, 155 160-180 so i cannot get a definitive answer on this. guess there's only one way to find out and that will be someday... but if You know for fact, that a GT restricts at 150 mph and only a tune would let be unrestricted, that would have to be the answer, right ? or...
and my ratio per my Vin breakdown is a 3.31 and I haven't heard of that being common.

I've heard these cars will do 165 maybe 170 flat out, with the right tune. My engine is still completely stock, so that is why I'm curious. Sounds like you have a rocket. I'm in the Temecula area.

I've read from multiple sources that the GT is restricted to 147 MPH from the factory. Most tunes give you the option to remove said restriction.

yeah Brian, it's a rocket. David, I have no idea if there's a tune in there or not ? if there's a restriction and I hit 150 then I would believe so. someday in the future I'll let you know what mine tops out at, gotta be the right kinda day, open road, pretty good stretch to run it up and then down.

I was just watching the Watkins Glen video that DMichaels posted. His GT has a stock motor, and he's running around 145 mph in 5th gear with room to spare, so apparently that is normal. I wouldn't know, I haven't run mine at the track yet. Must be nice.
