Toying around with Idea

I am getting the CS facia with boss 302 splitter soon, was toying around the idea of painting both to match bumper, make it look all in one, was thinking same with rear defuser and skirts..

what do you guys think? to much white or would it blend nicely

It would look hideous IMO because the car would look too tall

I'm toying with a similar idea for my performance white gt. I think you still want some contrast on the front and rear fascias. I'm considering leaving the cavities black on the front and doing a two tone on the back ( white top, black bottom.) I'm not certain on what to do with the side skirts. It might make the profile taller which isn't good but if you leave it black then it doesn't carry the lines established by painting the fascias.

To make it even harder on myself i'm also really wanting to bring in a couple or small red details. Check out this custom 5.0 on eBay right now. I really like what they did with the side skirts but i'll need to mock it up to see if it works with a white car.

I disagree. I think it looks very sharp having a mono color....BTW I have seen very sharp cars on here. Do what you feel makes your ride stand out and your happy with.

I disagree also!! With saying it would look bad. I've seen pics of here with the plastic lower bumper & skirts painted body color. All I can maybe remember of post is 'dust magnet'? It looked so good I am wanting to do that to mine. Not sure that it'd look too diff? I say go for it?! If you want it, don't let us hold you back!!

From what I've read, not many people are confident that their painted plastic parts will last more than two years. Just saying

And I saw a picture of a white one with the rear diffuser painted and it looked hideous. "Too tall" sounds about right, or "fat ***."

Let me try to find it

As for the paint quality and duration, I can't believe the side skirts (or other plastic bits) are any different textures to the '05-'09s....and they were painted successfully

as long as you leave the splitter black and the inserts black, I think it would look good.

time to use your photoshop skills!
