Flat black or Gloss black on Performance white?

Leaning to Gloss black

 

Gloss, that way you can still wax your car.

 

Matte Black ...as with the original

I think they'll look great regardless of the color. IMO it depends on the color of the car. If you have a high gloss/bright color I'd go with the gloss black. But if you have a flatter color I'd go with the matte black!

This is just my opinion, I'm sure the car will look great either way! Let me know if you have any questions.

AM rtr style wheels will be on prolly for Christmas this year..

 

Depends in the wheel finish.

Flat black if the wheels aren't glossy and glossy black graphics if they are.

 

gonna have to decide between charcole or black then before i get kit...

 

I think ill go with the Flat RTR kit, Gloss roof, then charcol AM wheels in december.. stick true to the RTR theme..

Still got a few weeks to decide..

Considering the custom look from RTR, I would go with the matte kit - definitely more aggressive

 

Agree. Go with wheel color

BUT... glossy = you can still wax over it no problem and...... if you REALLY wanted to, just tape off based on the stripes and Plasti Dip over it for matte and take off later. Some people hate Plasti Dip but just a suggestion.

 

having to push it back a bit due to Hurricane Isaac... got to fix a fence.. there went mod money...

 

So why did AM discontinue these? I wonder if the company who makes the RTR package got pissed?

Also, they offer a broad range of colors which is frustrating since they dont show pics.

Basically, I want to do just the side stripes in the same light blue that they used on the real Kona RTRs..I'm just not convinced that these will look enough like the real deal.

AM still sells them, they are not discontinued

 

it says they no longer carry it.. I waited to long i guess..

 

Maybe someone or some entity told them to cease and desist before anything happens.

Personally to me it looks off from the 'real' RTR pics so I don't see how that could be the case?

 

I know, the hood was not exactly like the true RTR cars.

 

I sent AM Dan a message. I guess i'll just have to wait now. If i would have known they were pulling them, i would have ordered them and held them until i was ready.
