One less...
Well there is one less Kona blue out there for you all to compete with.
I got ran off the road by someone in a huge late 90s silverado swapping lanes like they were on fire, snapped the wheel a little too quick and of course it had to be where there was next to zero shoulder on the road and ended up smacking a tree... It's probably totaled I will post pics tomorrow
I am thoroughly upset by this... It will be very hard to find another one that will have the exact combo of doo-dads and husker- don'ts that I loved so much without just ordering one and I don't really want to buy a new one... Terribly upset

I mean I am alive so that's something. Hurts like heck to walk or sit but I've been worse. I know it's just a car and can be replaced but that doesn't mean I didn't shed a tear or two for her.
I just hope I can find/afford another one equally equipped.
But no dude didn't even stop and it wasn't a very stand out truck. A champagne colored 1500 silverado with big tires. They are more dime a dozen than a ricer that sounds like crap.

Yeah, glad you guys are okay!
Karma being what it is, probably someday that idiot in the pickup will try that stunt next to a tractor trailer, and that driver won't dodge his stupidity. You want to bounce off this big truck? Go Ahead!

Herbert it was a good thing nobody was riding with you as that looks like a major hit.

Are you sure it was Kona? Did you have it painted? Looks like it might have been True Blue. What year was it? 2000?

So it still sucks. It's just hard to find them with Brembo's the 3.73 and accessory group five, (hood and side scoops, louvers, pedestal spoiler and the decklid trim) which in my opinion makes them look like something special. Plus in the fastest color makes it even more difficult. I know it seems a little petty but I am just not a fan of the little lip spoiler. I am just from the school of thought that a big motor merits a big spoiler. Lol. I mean I know I can buy all that crap myself and get it installed. it's just hard to find a shop you can trust to do paint. At least in military towns anyway. With a flood of suckers coming in at all times there is little incentive to be a reputable business. At least that has been my experience.
Here is a question has anyone driven them with different axle ratios? Was there a noticeable difference?
I know I am being nitpicky but I bought that car as an "I-didn't-die-on-deployment" present to myself. So it means a lot to me that I am absolutlely pleased with the car. Then again I'm sure most of us stanger's know that feeling of wanting complete satisfaction. That's why there are sooo many threads talking about waiting on their VIN's or going to pick it up.
Oh yeah I should be able to get some pics of the "gore" tomorrow.
Thanks again for the support.

Sorry for the car loss. Hope you continue to heal up quickly. I hope your search for a new one proves fruitful and to your satisfaction.
I suspect when I see your photos, I will be hurting with you.
