Kona Blue - My take

I love my Kona...but for those contemplating this color...BE WARNED...this color might be worse than Black trying to keep it smudge free and clean. But ****, does it shine and sparkle in the sun. It is a HEAD TURNING color.

I hate black...but I love black, lol.

At least Kona has the sparkles to hide small scratches!

Is there a direct comparison of Kona vs Vista (06-09)? Just wondering how they compare, from pix that I've seen they look very similar.

Tom.. I thin Kona looks like like a dark sonic blue... Vista is more blue than kona is in my opinion.

I swear there is more flake in the finish of the 2011 versions of those wheels compared to the 2010...

I've been using Meguiar's Line...

I've waxed it two weekends ago using Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax. While drying it, I use Ultimate Quik Detailer to buff out the shine. On the wheels and tires, I use Hot Rims wheel cleaner and after drying the tire, I use Hot Shot Tire Coating.

On the two close ups of my wheel, the tire shine you see is 8 days old.

I agree with the OP 100% it is a head turning color. Since i got mine last month Ive been having people complement me every week on the color choice, BUT OP is also correct, its a total ***** to keep smug free.

Great looking car!!! My shr louvers arrived yesterday. Now I need to find someone who will install in a timely fashion. Like to get a auto glass installer to do it. Body shops take forever to get to your car.

That's exactly what I did...I called three different auto body shops and they seemed totally confused with what I wanted done. The third auto body shop recommended a glass shop, which had me do He recommended a local guy and he did a awesome job.

While the car in the pics is a great looking machine, I think the pictures illustrate how difficult it is to phoograph this paint. It looks so much better in person, on the road...

I have had mine for four days and I love the paint more and more every time I look at it!!
