Downtown photoshoot...

Theoretically, there should be 10 inches of snow on the ground at least... but sun and 40 degrees??? can't be... but it is. So I took advantage of it, and after a good detail, went downtown. I have owned this car for 2 months now, and I am loving EVERY MILE on her. I remember just having 6 miles on the odo... now she has 700 miles. Best car I have owned, bar none. I am really enjoying the springs I put on... a LOT.

Marilyn is wearing a coat of Souveran this time.

Shots taken with Nikon D60.

NON-HDR (Unedited)

HDR (edited)

Thanks a lot guys.... yes, good ole Iowa. We are having record breaking highs for temps. This is literally unheard of. I usually store my car by early December. I am eking out another month of driving.

Wow. Just wow. I was going to ask if you'd done some photoshop/HDR work on those photos because your paint couldn't be that glossy! Then I saw it was you FromZto5

They don't hold a candle to yours, but I did a similar shoot in the Kansas City West Bottoms - check them all out here if you'd like. Here's a couple:

Whatever it is, I love it I may not have to store her this season at all, Jamie. In the years I've been in Iowa, never had it like this.

Hey Kyle, thanks for the kind words. Yeah I am starting to love downtown photoshoots. I love having the chaos in the background Having a nice backdrop in my city is pretty rare... I have to go finding them. Nice shots btw!

****... that thing is so shiny, you almost can't see the car! It kinda looks like one of those cloaking devices the military is working on. Great job!

I plan on giving mine a quick wash & wax tomorrow... but it won't look as good as yours.

Yeah it's great stuff man! I alternate between Fuzion/souveran/Pete's53/50/50/Supernatural for my LSP's. Remember though, a good wax won't do you any good if you haven't done the prep work (polishing/removal of swirls).... 95% of the shine/wet look/gloss is achieved through proper prep work. If you give me a car, one side buffed and polished and I use turtle wax on it, and the other side all swirled up but I use an expensive wax, you will think the turtle wax side has a $200 wax on it.
