Swervo's 2011 Grabber Blue GT

Here is my 2011 Grabber Blue GT. I got her back in August2010 and drove around for about a week or so before I started modding her.First thing was to make her sound like a mustang and with that I purchasedBassani's 3" Catback, then to aid her in breathing I added JLT's CAI witha BBR tune. That was good start tomodding, but I wanted to make her look a little different. So I had my friend help me paint my stock 19”wheels black along with the middle of the deck lid and added a GT500 rearspoiler. Now she looked a lotbetter.

Around this time, I received orders to move fromJacksonville, NC to San Diego, CA. Imade the long trip in 5 days driving by myself and stopping over in El Paso, TXto visit some family there. Once I wassettled in, the mod bug hit me again and I purchased a set of FRPP K springsand BMR panhard bar. I drove around fora week as is and did not like the ride what so ever, so I bought Koni STR Tdampeners and Maximum Motorsports Caster Camber plates. With the dampeners it made the ride a lotbetter and less bouncy. I decided to getmy windows tinted with 35% for the passenger and driver side windows and 15%for the rear 3 windows.

On my way back from my trip to Northern California to visitfamily, I got caught in a snow storm in the grapevine and had to sleep in thestang. Let me say that you definitelyneed to have a blanket in the trunk in case of emergencies, because I wasfreezing lol.

Next on the agenda was to change the appearance once againby changing out the front grille with a Roush billet grille and install aCalifornia Special front valence giving her a more sinister look. That lasted quite a while before I got bit bythe mod bug again and I decided she needed new shoes. I searched for a bit and finally found the rimsI wanted, Forgestar F14s in 20x9 20x11. They were new to the Mustang world and I know of one other person on theforums that had them. It took about 5weeks after I initially made the order for them to be completed. I drove up to Forgestar’s office and pickedthem up and along with my new set of Nitto Invo Tires and installed them thatday. What a difference a new set ofwheels does to the look of car. I also installed a Boss front splitter.

As we all know, you never stop modding and I wantedsomething different for the upcoming Fabulous Fords Forever car show held inKnott’s Berry Farm. I purchased a Bossintake manifold, because it was the newest mod out. It was pretty easy to install and lookedpretty badass under the hood. One thingthat was missing was a strut tower brace, because the Boss intake manifoldlooked naked without one. I researchedfor a few weeks seeing what fit and what didn’t and decided on the Steeda STBsince it looked good and didn’t look like that plain Boss STB.

I drove the stang like this for quite some time. She looked good, sounded good but I wasmissing that low end grunt with a Boss intake and stock 3.31 gears. So I had a local mustang shop install a setof 3.73 gears. Now let me tell you,2011+ all mustangs should come with this gear set since it’s the perfect gearratio for the MT-82. After that wasinstalled, a buddy of mine put me in contact with Bassani headquarters and gotme a good deal on their longtube headers and removable catalyticconverters. This was a big pain in thebutt to install, good thing I had a lift and friends to help me out. We got it knocked out in 7 hours, but wouldhave been 5 hours if one of the studs didn’t strip out. She sounded so beastly, especially withoutthe cats.

I thought she was done and drove her for months, then I gotthat itch again to change her look once again. I had the roof wrapped in matte black, with hood spears and the reardeck lid to match. I think changed out theRoush grille in favor of the more aggressive Saleen grille. I added Roush’s side splitters and finally aGT500 rear valence with the mud guards. She looked so menacing and beautiful.

All things come to an end. I received my newest set of orders and that was to the land of therising sun, Japan. Unfortunately, Icould not take my beautiful Mustang with me. So now she is sitting storage and has been in there for the past 2years. This coming June I will bereunited with her and the mods will once again begin!

Story man, and thank you for your service

If you want, I can drive you for her so she doesn't get lonely?
