Yes, retirement is a wonderful thing. Gives us "oldtimers" more time to play with our toys....

You bet!! I saw in your tag that you put on 500 axle backs. Did they give you the sound you were looking for? I've listened to a lot of clips but just can't decide what to use.

I have to say I do like the 500 A/B's. They are a bit louder/deeper than stock at idle but when you put your foot down they growl to life without being raspy and obnoxious and no drone at any speed. Some say they are not loud enough but I think those are mostly "younger" enthusiasts. For those of us "older" folks I think they are just what the doctor ordered. And the install is easy, can be done in driveway or garage in an hour or less. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Now gert oout there and enjoy your silver bullet !

Thanks, Dale . . . that may just be enough to make me go out and do it.

Very nice!!!

If I would have not gone for the ragtop, I wouls have done the stripes just like that. Great job!

As for the GT500 ABs, they get a bit louder over time.

Here's a video I put together that compares 3 different ABs on my car. That might help you decide. I don't regret going with the GT500 ABs at all.

Second childhood.......I am at about my 5th or more.

Do the GT500 axle backs and then remove the resonators.....makes another slight difference and worth the 50-70 for removal at a shop.

Sweet color too....

OMG!! That is one great video! Having those three right there so close together is really a big advantage. I definately think I will go with the 500 A/B's now. Thank you sooo much!

Thanks, I guess I've got a ways to go. Let's hope they don't screw up the 50th edition, maybe it'll give me a chance to make it to my 5th. As for the resonators, Pete, well, I have to stay within reason. Some of the people in our area are prone to complain if your cat meows too loudly!! But I will keep that in mind. I guess i'm in a rut . . . the last 6 cars I've had have been silver. The '67 was the last white one.
