You're 21 and can afford that car and the thousands in mods?! When I was 21 I was sweating the $7,500 I paid for my used 5.0. Not sure how you pulled that off, but good for you. Apparently I missed out on one of those 6 figure salaries straight out of university!

A job that pays well and alot of long hard hours and working holidays and such. It's the thing that reminds me all the work is worth it.

Congrats blackbird! What kind of SC kit did you get? Complete bolt on? I am eyeing a similar kit, but not sure which way to go.... Roush, magnuson, whipple, etc.... Also, I wanted to do the install myself. But then again, if I can get ford to install it with warranty, that might be worth the moolah.

Thank you, I went with the KB 2.8LC kit. If you can do it the more power to you but it's way too involved for me. Seeing it in the shop made me realize yeah i'm glad someone else that knows what they're doing is doing it.

Problem is... the only "shops" around here that could do it, would be Ford dealers. I don't live in or near a big city where I have installers available...

So I might be limited to Roush or Ford Whipple stuff

Hmm that is an issue. Whipple was my second choice so i don't think you can go wrong with them.

This thread is collecting some cob webs again, so I shall update!

Went into the shop a couple of days ago and this is what I found:
Name: IMAG0005.jpg
Views: 139
Size: 321.4 KB
Name: IMAG0006.jpg
Views: 174
Size: 250.0 KB

And I heard this: (cell phone video, audio doesn't do the car justice)

Unfortunately it makes the exhaust sound kind of bad with the cutouts open. Phone just can't handle it.

This is a stellar ride man. I'm really liking the hood and grill. The extra 200 ponies aren't hurting anything but your fuel bill I'm sure.

Great looking car, Blackbird! How do you like the Michelin PS2s compared to the stock all-season Pirellis? I'm wanting to get some better tries and the Michelins look promising.

It's like night and day. They are great tires, very grippy. They handle the massive power pretty well

It is. The shop did it for me but it looks like he made a metal bracket for behind the badge and attached it that way. Looked like had to shave some of the inside of the grill to do so. I'll get pictures when I can.
