For those on the fence about the best wax for black, here are my results with Zaino!
Ive used Zaino Cleaner wax for years, but this is the first time Ive used it on my 5.0 and on a Black vehicle. These are the best results I have ever gotten out of the product...amazing finish, and its only $13. No photo shopping here, only used Photoshop to resize. Camera used was a Kodak EasyShare M753
My cleaning process:
Turtle wax Ice Car Wash - use microfiber mitt or towel for wash
Wipe off to a half-*** dry with a micrfiber cloth...just enough to get the huge water chunks off of the finish and crevises.
Buff out remaining wetness left behind with DRY microfiber towel.
With another DRY microfiber tower, apply Zaino cleaner wax.
Let wax dry to a haze, use a DRY microfiber towel to buff off the haze one panel at a time.
Once entire car has been through this routine, get some Meguires spray detailer and use another clean microfiber cloth for your final buff to remove the remaining streaks/haze/crust left behind from the wax
The key to best results is to avoid any and all direct sunlight during the entire cleaning process.

Curious as to whether or not the Zaino is really the shizzle if you're having to use the Meguiars after it. Is it the Meguiars that's really providing the results? I've never used the Zaino... but the Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax spray makes Ford Tuxedo black look incredible.

not knocking your shine it is awsome to say the least.
Try this stuff instead of the detail spray. I think it works much better.
does anyone use it? Doesn't Zaino make a quick wax or detailer?

Looks good; really good! I only used Zaino on my silver cobra and nothing else. This shine was great on silver.
However on my black cars which has been 5 the last 6 years I only use menzerna/clearkote/pinnacle. Menzerna/clearkote polishes and clearners then topped it off with Pinnacle souveran carnuba or Clearkote carnuba.
Here are a couple pictures and these aren't photoshoped either. What I have found with Zaino is you get almost a plasticy looking surface almost wrapped with saran wrap and with my items listed above I get a much more deep gloss and the true showing what black paint looks like. But it truly is a preference .

Thanks. That cobra was actually my DD for over 3 years, I sold it as it sat in those pictures with 45k miles on it 3yrs ago. The car was garage kept at home and at my office. They key is just staying on top of it.

Well I had a 2yr old son and my daughter was about to be born and we stopped driving the car and only put less than 200 miles in the last 18 months of ownership so we decided to let it go. I was very sad to see it go but sold it at the right time as I got 25k for it and sold in less then 7 days when I listed it on svtperformance.com
you just cannot beat a black car. when clean they are the best looking!!

Zaino makes a quick detailer also, and their products to work amazing.
When I first bought my 2005 Mustang (RIP) I had a 2001 Toyota S-Runner in Black Sand Pearl.
Living in Seattle, with as much drizzle as we got, I almost never washed the truck. Once I got the Mustang home, I decided it was time to sell the truck. I'd heard a lot about how good Zaino was on black, so I ordered the whole kit.
Used their car wash, then clay bar, then a coat of Z-5, followed by thier Z6 spray, then 2 coats of Z2 with a coat of Z6 after each. The car looked and felt like it was wet! It was amazing.
I was able to get more than I had planned on getting for the truck, thanks in part to the shine.
I've got a friend who now drives a Scion xB in Black Sand Pearl, and I've got him hooked on Zaino also. It's amazing.
All this talk about it is making me want to go detail the Mustang again.

Zanio is only internet sales, great stuff. I have used it on my CS since I got it. They just came out with a Grand Finale spray that puts on a great shine and lasts a long time.

I swear by Sovereign Pinnacle wax for my black Mustangs. I know it doesn't last as long as synthetics but its easy on and off, no dust and the car is garage kept.
