Mustang attacked by hawk
So left work yesterday to see a hawk standing on my roof. He flew away as I got closer, but upon further inspection of my car, the friggin thing had a dance party all over my hood, spoiler, and roof. He was just heavy enough to leave a nice batch of scratches all over the car. Guess its time to buy that buffer.
For those weighing the should I buy a black car or not beware!

Last month my dad's Black F150 got wrecked in my driveway by a Tom.. then it tried to attack my son as he tried to stop it! If I wasn't at work I'd of been having a turkey for dinner!
The SOB literally hit ever panel within 4' of the ground, all the way around the truck! It took me 4-5 hours of compounding, polishing, sealing to bring the paint back.. it still looks like someone shot it with buckshot in acouple places where that **** bird pecked down to the white primer.
..has me really worried now because my Black Raptor is due any day now.

Update, finally got a chance to wash the mustang and try some scratch x. No luck, made it better, but you can still se them. Anyone have an estimate on how much a body shop would charge to buff out the car? The hawk pretty much put scratches on every horizontal surface on one spot or another.

Example: I use the x, spray black box detailer, x, carnauba wax, x, spray detailer and so on... Use a SOFT Microfiber towel. Work firmly but gently. Don't swirl your towel. Work in cross hatches.
Pics?
Hey...99% of NY is rural you know..there's more to NY than just NYC!!!
Just messing with you man. Us upstate New Yorkers always have to explain that Western NY is waaaayyyyy away from NYC whenever we tell somebody we're from NY and they start asking about NYC. lol
Where I live deer are a serious problem too. Growing up I've been involved in at least a half dozen collisions with deer throughout the years...and have to watch the side of the road for surveillance for deer all the time too.

Used the scratch X several times. Brought it by my dealership and they said $170 worth of sanding with 3000 and polishing to take them out. Slightly cheaper than buying the stuff myself and will save me a day of effort, I think I'll drop it off next week. In the meantime I put out a bounty on the hawk. I think I'll stuff it and hang from the tree as a message to other stupid animals/birds...
Holy crap. I guess they were deeper scratches than I thought. Hope insurance pays for it.
FWIW my good friend and I recently hit and killed a hawk coming back from MS. (6 months ago roughly)
It was actually kinda comical. The hawk spiraled out of control until he hit the ground. It looked like it was in slow motion...like a kite aimlessly blown by the wind only to come abruptly crashing down. Lol

Hawks are at the top of the food chain, but they can still be preyed upon by any larger birds of prey such as eagles.
Just duct tape this to your roof-
