Black or Silver Wheels?

I need some help on deciding what color wheels to buy. I'm going with 20x9.5 Bravado Tributes and my choices are matte black or silver. My friends have told me to go for silver so they contrast against the car.

What do you guys think? If anyone can post picks of black Mustangs with silver wheels, I'd appreciate it. Also, does anyone know of any charcoal 20x9.5 wheels? It has to be that size because I already got my tires ( a set of four 275/35/20s).

There's probably 100 pics of black with silver wheels, and 100 of black with black in this subforum. If not, check out the Camaro5 site. The Camaro guys really like black wheels. To each his own... but black wheels amost always look wrong to be. Especially on a black car.

Medium Purple with a green stripe on the rim.

Heck yeah, pimpin'.

So, these wheels, eh?

Between the two actual colors they offer on that rim... I'd get the black. The silver is too bright, to me, and it doesn't really look all that good on the closeup picture.

But then, if I was to get those rims, I'd be taking them and having the fronts machined off the black and then clearcoatin' the works. Or maybe stripping the black off and then polishing the faces of the spokes, leaving the black everywhere else.

Black on black is a little played out at this moment. I think i'd go with silver.

I think machined aluminum and black is the hot ticket.

I think black wheels look pretty sweet up close, from far away you can't really see them. Hard to photograph too. Maybe some machined wheels. Best of both worlds. I'm looking into the Niche Milan in the silver machined finish. Gun metal is pretty nice too.

Pretty affordable too. Less than $1000 for the set. I'm running 275/35 tires as well.

Previous owner of my 2013 decided to paint the wheels matte black... it took some effort but we were able to get them back to their original look. Here is a photo of one with the black paint removed and one with the black paint left on....

Hope this helps...........

Dark cars are difficult to photograph and do them justice... black might be the toughest to photograph. Here is a low light photo taken at dusk with the wheels cleaned up....
