I was wondering what was taking Fantasy Nascar so long to contact me about the money I won for finishing 47th in week 30.

So I sent them a message in the help section. I noticed that my name was wrong. It was listed as John Boyd.

I then checked my account info and my address was also wrong. Some place in PA.

My email was correct but I have never received any correspondence from Fantasy Nascar about winning any prize money in this race.

I'm wondering if someone went in there and changed my name and mailing address so that they could receive the prize money. I know its only $20 but maybe this is some kind of scam where someone is hacking in and having the checks sent to other addresses.

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but that still doesn't explain why I haven't received any correspondence or check from Fantasy Nascar and why my name and address were changed from what I originally entered in my account info.

I sent all the about to Fantasy Nascar. I let you know how it turns out.

 

That definately sounds fishy.

Fantasy Nascar wrote back and said:

"We are showing that your prize check was processed and mailed on 10-21-04. It should be arriving shortly if it has not arrived already... It was most likely printed with the name John Boyd".

In a second email they said:

"We will look into where the check was sent and get back to you".


I guess I will have to wait and see.

 

Well just to conclude the story:

Fantasy Nascar sent today:

The check was mailed to the address listed on your profile at the time the check was processed. We are not sure how this happened - do you share a computer? We recommend that you change your account password and make sure that you log off the site after each visit. We will re-issue the $20 prize check, we will send it to :


And then they listed my correct name and address

 

That doesn't really address the problem that their system has been compromised........... At least you get your $20!

 

I got my $20 today. Yeah.
