Roush to sell off one team
Roush to sell off one team, then help: In 2010, Roush Fenway Racing will have to shrink from five cars to four, but Jack Roush already has a plan in mind: Sell the fifth car to a group of investors as what he called "seed corn" for an investor-controlled four-car team owned and funded by a group outside of Roush but fueled with Roush crews and technology. "It shouldn't go without notice that we are unabated in our effort to find and identify new drivers and to build our crews and teams with outsiders to the extent that we can and advance them through the programs as they get experience," Roush said. "We're on a track to be able to help somebody come in and provide the technology and the manpower to get them started."(Ford Racing)(8-18-2007)

This is all well and fine, but Roush and Ford need to figure out a way to start kicking bow tie azz. We're lucky to win one to their 12 these days. It's getting tougher and tougher to watch.

If it's true: Ragan. No way they do without Biffle, Kenseth, McMurray, or Edwards. McMurray is just starting to pick up some steam. Biff needs to get his act together, seems like he's becoming an all or (more often)nothing driver like Newman. Ragan was a bit of a last minute choice in the first place.

Ragan is a rookie; if Roush didn't want him in the long run, he wouldn't hire a rookie.
McMurray has a big contract and Biffle's contact expires at the end of the season.
