I blame it on his pit crew chief he should have pitted same time tony did

Carl had the race won after his last stop and took two tires. Tony got four tires and was way behind and then the rain came and caused a caution and allowed him to get closer to the front. Tony did one heck of a job passing cars, but he got a lucky break. Rusty Wallace even figured Tony had lost the race after his last stop. If it had not rained , I would like to see if Tony would have caught Carl.

Best Buy to sponsor Kenseth?: Roush Fenway Racing and #17-Matt Kenseth appear to be well on their way to securing the Best Buy sponsorship for 2012, according to sources familiar with the situation. The Roush organization has pledged to run Kenseth, the 2003 Cup champion, without sponsorship but has been working hard to find funding for the driver coming off a three-win season where he placed fourth in the Cup standings. Kenseth's primary sponsor Crown Royal opted not to sponsor a race team in 2012. Best Buy's sponsorship of #43-AJ Allmendinger at Richard Petty Motorsports was for 24 races in 2011. RPM has not announced any sponsorship for the #43 car for next season. An RPM spokesman said the team would have no comment on its sponsorship search.(SceneDaily)(12-15-2011)

UPDATE: Best Buy Co., Inc. announced a new sponsorship deal for the 2012 Sprint Cup Series Season. Best Buy will serve as primary sponsor of Carl Edwards' #99 Ford for two races and the Matt Kenseth # 17 Ford for nine races. In addition, Best Buy will serve as associate sponsor for each. "Best Buy is thrilled to announce this new NASCAR sponsorship deal with Roush Fenway Racing," said Drew Panayiotou, senior vice president of marketing for Best Buy. "Roush Fenway Racing is a great fit for Best Buy Racing. NASCAR continues to be a relevant way for us to connect with our customers. Our goal is to reach our target audiences in a meaningful way, while maximizing the value of our marketing and sponsorship investments." Best Buy has been a NASCAR sponsor for the past 7 years.(Best Buy)(12-20-2011)
AND: Richard Petty Motorsports statement: "We have had a successful and rewarding relationship with Best Buy for the past few years and appreciate all they have done for us," stated Richard Petty, co-owner of Richard Petty Motorsports. "Although it is very disappointing that Best Buy is changing directions at this late date, we wish all of our friends there the best in their future endeavors. Our plan has always been to run a two-car team in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2012 and we are continuing down that path," said Petty. "We have several partners that remain committed to the #43 team. We will move forward and explore all of our options in regard to the #43 program in the coming weeks."(RPM)(12-20-2011)

Unhappy

Too bad Roush has to scale back to a three car team. Roush has been the only one who could challenge the Hendrick cars and keep them honest. Nascar has finally beat Roush down to the size it wants .Oh well, maybe Front Row motorsports can put their three car Ford team up front in 2012.

Front Row will have 3 cars in 2012 for sure, but I doubt either one of them will finish in the Top 30.

Hendrick won only 5 races in 2011 which is a very low number for them. Roush also won 5 and so did Penske, Childress and Gibbs. Stewart Haas had the most wins with 6.

Cool

Dont kid yourself. Stewart-Hass cars are still race cars provided by Hendrick. They have Hendrick engines. Most teams that use Hendrick cars are heavily sponsored. Hendrick racing is like a big octapus with its tentacles extending to other teams. All Penske and Roush can do is race between the tentacles.

Hendrick cars have won 10 championships (11 if we count Stewart's championship this year) over the past 17 years ... so there's a reason why their cars are heavily sponsored.

What we don't know is how much kick-back these sponsers get from the Hendricks camp just for signing on! You line someone's wallet, you have their undivided attention! Free money back ... under the table ... nobody needs to know ... *wink* winK* nudge-nudge say no more! All the Chevy camp has to tell their new sponsers is that "we have Nascar in our hip pocket. You WILL win! We will see to it!" Corruption really sucks!

Talking

The fact that Hendrick Racing has won 10 championships in the last 17 years indicates the strong influence Hendrick has on Nascar to gain rules advantages. After last years Daytona 500, it did not take long for Nascar to take away Fords advantage of having an engine that ran cooler. Ford should have been allowed to maintain that slight advantage for the rest of the year to award their hard work and allow the Ford teams to have a better chance of winning a championship.

The only thing good that comes out of all of this is that every time Nascar makes it tough on the Ford teams to compete that Ford will at least try to overcome it! I would love to see the Chevy teams go up against what Ford teams went through in years gone by! They wouldn't fix anything! They would just throw money at Nascar and everything would be fine for them! Ford doesn't like that game plan! They put their money in a place that better suits them!

I like the color combination. The car should be more easy to pick out from the rest.

It's just too weird seeing Kenseth's car without DeWALT on it.

Yea, I miss the DeWALT colors. I have some of their drills and saws. Their equipment is first class.

Very classy. Glad at least some Ford cars are going to have solid sponsorship.
