#01 car soon to be 'sidelined'? other DEI stuff: ....however Regan Smith, the promising rookie who may not have any sponsorship next season at DEI, will apparently soon be sidelined; Mark Martin is leaving DEI at the end of the season to join Rick Hendrick; Martin Truex Jr. is trying to leave DEI at the end of the year, though that legal issue is still up in the air; and Paul Menard’s wealthy father John is reported talking with Ford’s Jack Roush apparently about moving his financial NASCAR stake there, presumably with Paul Menard driving a Roush-Yates Ford in 2009. So it looks like the Menards are moving to Yates, with John taking a minority stake in the team and Paul getting into the new third ride that John's money will provide. Gotta say, there's alot to like here. Now, if we can just find out who the fulltime sponsors are going to be.

Menards is potentially 1 (and its not even the Full Hood sponsor on Paul's current car), while there are 3 possible Yates cars next year.

 

I always though that 5th Roush team that had to be closed will be moved to Yates next year ...

 

Thats huge if Menards goes over, huge money!!

 

That could be what we're seeing, or that "team" might not move just its hardware. Have to see how the details pan out.
