I'm likin' that DHG & Silver on John Force's Funny Car this year:

 

The paint scheme is the best he's had in years, IMO. At least since he moved over to Ford.

I have a couple day-time pics, but there was a problem with the camera(operator error ) that I'm trying to fix, so in the mean time here are some night-qualifying pics.

Big John qualifies number one for the first time since '06. He's back baby. They old man still has it.

 

I am more excited to see some FMC (Mustang) life back in Pro-Stock. Looks like Jamie is still having some issues with his new Pony, and Larry Morgan got his qualified for Sunday again in 13th.

 

Me too. I love seeing Ford back in Pro-Stock. I'm a Ford fanatic, but I have to admit I root for Alan Johnson and Mike Edwards just because I like them for who they are. Humble men who are not afraid to put their love of for the Lord out there on the table and don't care what anyone thinks about it.

The Fords have been lurking in Pro-Stock, but just didn't have what it takes to make the show. I took this back in '07 during friday night qualifying and I have to say it is one of my favorite pics.

I love it! Adds another level of excitement to the race.

 

I thought the 4 wide was fun! BTW, nice to see the stangs back in pro stock. Would be nice to see the class all go pony cars...

 

I feel much better having the required equipment.When you start going over 130 mph stuff happens fast.If you don't have what it takes to run the et don't line up next to me.It is very hard to hear what has happened.

 

Dang! That **** track has cost too many lives, changed the ENTIRE Top Fuel program to 1000' instead of the traditional 1/4 mile (for no reason as it has turned out), and still keeps killing because its too short!


You mean NJ doesn't have some toxic wasteland that's long enough for 1/4 mile Top Fuel with a sufficient safe zone down track???????

larry morgan finally wins a round .. beat warren johnson with a hole shot .. a ford in round 2 .. cant wait till the rouch / yates team shows up ..

 

Are they actually planing to compete in NHRA?

 

one of the humphries guys .. justin or ronnie is having a stang built and rousch/yates is preparing an engine .. not sure of the time frame .. wish they`d hurry up though .. that`s what i heard at the last event
