Aah ok. Thanks guys. What if the sub driver was winning moreso than the normal driver? And how does that affect the Sprint Cup standings? Does it go by driver or team?

Driver misses the races he gets no points. An example would be Jr. missing races during the have last year that dropped him to last in the chase immediately. Not that he probably wouldn't have been last anyway.

I can't think of a case where a replacement driver would be better than the main driver other than injury. There's a reason the main guy is in the car as the replacement is on the street.

Ok. That makes sense. So a significant injury pretty much makes your season worthless

Nah

Closest would be Dallas and I'm just not that interested in it. I'm content to watch it on TV when I have nothing else to do. I missed Sundays race because I was sick and slept through it.

Called in sick.
