Since we have some downtime on our hands, I thought I would post some upcoming events in 2006 in which you might like to attend. Now I know there are MANY more choices, but these came to me first. If there is another event please list . . .
I haven't voted yet . . either Le Mans or Bathurst.

Champ Cars at Road America. They just announced today that it's back on the schedule.
But if I were to choose one from the list, unencumbered by reality, I'd have to say LeMans.

I've wanted to go to RA for a while, but something about the 10 hour drive has kept me away. Hopefully, I'll be there twice next summer. If the Miata actually gets built this winter, we'll probably go for the June Sprints as well.

For me, the Indy 500 is the race I want to see. Reality states that I can easilly go to Lemans or Monaco, but probably won't. I had tickets for Monaco two years ago, but couldn't go :bang:

Anj is down with it. And staying with James would be awesome since Pate and Leander are so close in age now.
Now where did I plant that money tree!

I even have a French translator in the family all ready for the trip to Le Mans.
My 13 yr old was in a French language immersion program thru elementary school
and can speak like a native french citizen.
Of course there is the danger of having to trust a teenager to actuately translate,
he has been known to pull a few tricks
when translating.

I think a cattle prod would keep him inline.

That way there would be no sneaking up at night without some pain.

Alright, now I got to vote twice, cause goin' to the land downunder to watch V8 Supercars would be fantastic.
(Is Ambrose really coming to the States?)

Ambrose in a Wood Brothers #21 truck: Pirtek Racing's Marcos Ambrose has signed a multi-year driver development agreement deal with Wood Brothers/JTG Racing in the US. The agreement calls for Ambrose to pilot a [#21] Ford F-150 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck series next season, with an eye toward driving one of the teams Ford Fusions in the NASCAR Busch Series and Nextel Cup series in the future. "It's an honor to be chosen from a long list of drivers who would love to be with Wood Brothers/JTG Racing," said Ambrose, "My dealings with Ford and Ford Racing both here in Australia and the US as well as Wood Brothers/JTG have been excellent. Ford Australia President Tom Gorman has been outstanding and without his direct input this deal would never have got off the ground." Ambrose plans a move to the US with his wife Sonja and newborn daughter Tabitha in early January.(PR)(11-18-2005)
