Anybody check out the Daytona 24hrs? Glad to see more Fords in DP's. I think the Doran/Ford combo will grow into some success this season, and the Crawford/Ford combos also looked good. How about the #8 Crawford/Porsche?! Clearly the class of the field, in terms of lap times.

GTO.Rs looked good, and I was/am very surprised at the RX-8 efforts in GT.

Yes, all the coverage is on SPEED. One of the few times they aren't showing NASCAR or NASCAR related programming.

but it is NASCAR related if you think about it.....Ganassi Racing, Rusty Wallace, Tony Stewart, etc, etc.....

It wasa good race and good to see Ganassi win after coming so close before

OH, I know there are many ties to NASCAR, most significant that the series is run by the France Family. Ganassi got started in motorsports WAY before he entered NASCAR, but I understand your point.

I watched most of it and yes, it was very nice to see all the Fords in DP, just wish we had someone fielding a 'stang or 2, also!! 'Course, that would mean building a tube chassis and fitting a body to it, just like the GTO.R and RX-8 so maybe its good that all those 'stang drivers running DP's chose Grand-Am Cup instead of the GT class so we can watch our beloved pony for real, not some 'stang bodied chassis running custom parts that will never work on our street cars!!!

I watched a little when I got home from the Sno-drift Rally on Saturday night, and most of the Sunday morning coverage. Looks like the Porsche Crawford and the RX-8 will both be pretty stout in the regular season once the bugs are worked out.
