I love Roush! That thing looks great but they need to step it up to compete with Shelby for same price, just sayin......

I have always admired the Roush Mustangs. I have alot of respect for the people who buy them. The 2013 Roush Mustang looks really good from the side and back. The back end is just beautifull. I would have to see the hood in person to know how I would like it. So far I have not been excited enough to say I have to have a Roush Mustang. I think the reason I have not felt I needed a Roush is because the ones I really like are limited production models. Now, IF Roush would build Mustangs like the 2013 Raybestos Roush Mustang, I would more likely be apt to want one bad.

The pics are great, & Roush makes a quality product...............however,
.
At trade in time, remember it's based on a " GT ", as a guy on the BMC website just found out, it's resale / trade in value is not on a par with a Shelby GT500......( & his was " 1 of 1 " for his model year.. )

Can it be had without the fake hood scoop? Love it otherwise!

The Roush cars have always been a bit out there when it comes to styling. I guess they must feel they need to be to get any attention. As far as performance goes the Roush cars have always been well sorted. Too bad the prices have always been on the high side. I could never justify buying a new Roush knowing that I would be taking a pretty serious hit on depreciation. My nephew bought a 2007 Stage 1 about three years ago for $18k. The original sticker was over $42k.
If you don't care about voiding the factory warranty it would probably make more sense to add the Roush or similar performance and suspension parts to a GT and leave the factory styling alone. If you have to have a performance car with a full warranty a Boss 302 or GT500 makes a whole lot more sense especially considering resale value.

Traditionally ROUSH has always made things like that optional.
Likely that will be optional again.
I think my opinion of the styling falls in line with most .. good not bad, but not GREAT!! Certainly a handsome looking package with bits that could have been done better. It does look good in silver. Probably better in black.

Having been a ROUSH owner most of my adult life and in the mrket again ... this one doesn't move me like the '13 GT500 specs. For much of the same reasons blksn8k pointed out.

In the past I've taken the hit on resale, but not sure with this new crop of mustangs that ROUSH has distinguished themselves enough to turn down what the GT500 is offering. This time I can't even get the the Cobra and send it to ROUSH to upfit .... nothing on the ROUSH kit screams better than GT500 stock.
