2010 Roush 427R supercharger and brake upgrade at Modular Depot

A customer called me and said that he has a 2010 Roush 427R and he wanted more power. We talked over a few options, he almost bought a Roush P-51 carte engine with a blower, but decided to just do the Roush TVS 2300 supercharger for now. He said that his car didn't have the big brakes seen on most 427s, but rather had stock Mustang GT brakes so we put the Roush Track Pack Brake kit on it with matching rear rotors.

The supercharger kit comes with a certificate to have the PCM re-calibrated by Roush so we sent it out off to Roush. 2 days later we had the PCM back and we loaded it on the dyno. She ripped off 499 RWHP. This car has no other engine or bolt-ons on it other than what it left with from Roush.

Check out some pics of this awesome ride!

Roush finally is offering the 2300TVS kits with the seperate drive like on the P-51 and with interchangeable pullies. So much better than the the kit that uses the stock FEAD belt to spin the blower.

Really great numbers. I'm interested to see how long the stock internals hold up w/ the 2300 on that tune, making that kind of power.

So long as he doesn't put crap gas in it it should hold up just fine.

Jim D'Amore at JDM has been installing these things for a while on stock bottom ends and has been doing his own fairly conservative tunes and getting about the same HP as the car here and has had very good luck with longevity.

My Roush is stone-stock and puts down 510 to the tires. I love the new dual-belt TVS which makes the entire system more robust all the way around. Great job mystichris@MD, the 427R you did is now as awesome in the running and stopping dept. as it is in the good looks dept.
