Your '13 GT500 wants to kill you...

...or so Mike Farah says. Was watching this video and was (semi)suprised to see the GT500 there. Take a look if you're interested:

GT500 shows up around 4:00. I should mention there's no live action. More talk show style.

I saw this. My wife then said, "maybe those wilwood carbon ceramic brakes you were looking at weren't such a bad idea."

Awesome. Not only do they look killer and work killer, but the come with a HUGE price tag.
But, then again, you almost never have to replace those rotors.

Well, while I'd love to put them on the 500, I can't imagine ever justifying $15k for brakes only unless someone's sponsoring me. That ain't happenin'! I am going to upgrade the brakes eventually, and I know wilwood has really high quality equipment so I was browsing. Saw the carbon ceramics and showed my wife the price tag for front and rear sets. She was less than amused. When I saw the video posted by OP, my mind immediately went to the wilwood CC's. clearly, so did my wife's.

That part around 6:00 isn't going to be popular with some folks around here.

Yes the Boss LS is the greatest production Mustang track car ever. I have no problem with that. And I have no doubt my GT500 would kill me if I was dumb enough to push its limits.

HA HA!! Nice one man. Yeah, they are big bucks.
Wilwood makes some killer stuff, as does Baer. Both expensive, but a drop in the bucket compared to the ceramics.

The GT500 has never been a "track car." I don't think anyone who knows that or is at all familiar with the GT500 and its origins/history would have any problem with the 6:00 mark in that video.

Don't let that fool you into thinking the GT500 can't be turned into one, however.

My wife doesn't curse. I think I can count the number of times she's cursed on one hand and have most of my fingers left over. Her comment? "You gotta be ****ting me. That's a whole brand new Smart car!!"
