Shelby American Update
When I posted the story regarding Shelby American, I mentioned that I had not substantiated the rumor. Since then, I have learned that while Amy Boylan is no longer with Shelby, operations at the Shelby American Headquarters are proceeding as normal with no plans to close.
The Mustang Source deeply regrets posting incorrect information and wishes the legendary Shelby brand a prosperous future.

I have been following this story closely all week and I am still confused about it.
The only real announcement I have seen was in regards to John Luft:
"John Luft assumes operational responsibilities".
Nothing official has been said about the "President" position.

Is there some way you can provide us with more info?

Earlier Brad said that he had not substantiated the claims. I understand that some claims are only rumor, but he tends to have good information. Of course, I don't really care if Shelby goes under, but I'm sure time will tell.

Yes Brad, I saw the disclaimer.
But please know that I/we appreciate the attempted late breaking info for Mustang fans.
Thanx for posting the ending clarification.

From my sources, Amy did not leave on her own, and as of April 1, the GT350 project was still going to happen. I have still have not seen anything confirming the Bankruptcy, but that should be public knowledge, I just haven't found any info on it.

I personally hate to see any business fail but the recent Shelby offerings have been so outrageously overpriced because they are "Shelby's." Maybe the combination of his greed and the economy will kill off the brand.

I wonder what the folk's over at FoMoCo are thinking? "Well Alan, we managed to devert Bankruptcy however our flagship Mustang, that costs something north of 50k, wears an enormous badge of a company that did not. Maybe we should have stuck with SVT?".

That seems perplexing considering she has been credited with Shelby's resurrection. I see a couple of possibilities here. Either Shelby is going down the toilet, Amy got the knife, or both.
