Also, anyone have any idea what the price would be?
You have the seats too far up.

Congrats,
beautiful Shelby
I sat in a 2012 with Recaros on Saturday and I am seriously thinking of trading up.

Wish the fix was that easy. My wife always wears her hair in a bun or pony tail and with the head rest as it is, her head is pushed forward. I told her to get a different "do" and then she said to get a different car! Other females have complained about the headrests as well. For me they r borderline annoying.

I think the recaros look sweet and offer a solution to the crappy headrest issue.

Does your wife know about these other females that are complaining about the headrest while you are riding them around?

Okay I would think the recaros would be worse for her

The recaros are sweet. They are quite supportive, without being uncomfortable (well at least so far, the longest I have driven it was an hour.)

My wife never complains on either seats, instead she just pulls on the seat belt back and forth for me to notice she is uncomfortable with my driving techniques.

Take a wild guess what happens every time she pulls on the seat belt? . . .

If it is the same Recaros that come in the Boss, I can tell you that the headrests on those are positioned pretty far forward. I think you would have the same problem.

And which do you find borderline annoying, the headrests or the complaining females?

Are you sure that was an either/or question?

It might be there is a bit of confusion here. The headrests on the GT500 are not as pronounced as the ones on the GT.

Headrests seem not to be a problem - a slight recline and some lumbar support gets 'em even farther from head. I can barely get in and out of the car as it is, I can't imagine trying to extract myself with the Recaro's. Granted if you're tall and keep the seats down low this is less of an issue - I like sitting up high.

The only thing I have against the recaro's is that they don't match up with the rear seats. They work in the Boss LS because of the rear seat delete. IMO

The side and seat bolsters on the Recaros do make it difficult to get in and out without moving back the seat. It is a tight squeeze between the seats and the steering wheel if you have chunky thighs and arent very limber. But they really keep you in place in the corners.

I have grown to like them alot. They provide great support and are pretty comfortable (at least for short term driving). However, you are right about it being a tight squeez between the side bolsters and the steering wheel.

Raising the steering wheel if lowered makes it easier to get in and out. I've made it a habit.
