For starters the video camera (iPhone?) was oriented incorrectly. Strangest thing was the smoke coming from the wheel wells with the wheels apparently stationary. Could be that the wheels were spinning at some multiple of 30rpm, digital video capture rate is 30 frames per second (actually 29.98 fps, I know, I'm a geek). It the tire rpm and video fps matched at some multiple, the tires would look stationary. Thatvwould be a hellavu coincidence, there must be another, simpler explanation

I believe your right. As good as the iPhones camera is it's still a phone camera.

It's an ellectronic optical illusion. As the engine is revved, the tire rotation seems to change from counterclockwise to clockwise and back, which of course is impossible.
