Congrats Jospeh. Here's one of my favorite video's about the car. I watched it more times than I have digits while waiting for my car!!! I almost bought that color combo it's beautiful and easier maintenance but all black looks wicked sexy. Enjoy the video!!

 

This video is a good comparison of the two cars, and it makes one very important point: the cars are very good at what they do. The ZL1 has its benefits, as does the GT500. If you're looking for a riveting experience, you're probably more likely to find it in the Shelby. If you're looking for faster lap times, you're more likely to find it in the ZL1.

Unless, of course, you give your Shelby tires that have section widths of 3cm larger than the OEM's.

I agree with kco about the comparison. But the reason I like it so much is like vegas said, the excitement he's totally loving driving the shelby! A lot a reviews you can tell how exciting driving the car is. Even Randy Probst got excited. Here's another good one make sure to watch till end. . Congrats VegasGold. Mine is stuck at the dreaded Ramp 51. Mine only has to go 40 miles so hopefully they decide to put it on a truck very soon. My first ETA was last Friday, but got bumped to this Friday. If it doesn't make it by then I may have to go steal it this weekend. Make sure you post lots of pics!!!!

Very exciting time for both of us. After you get your Shelby and drive it for a while, update me and I will do the same...Just wondering if we feel the same way. Remember you have to drive 5 miles before the supercharger kicks in or so many starts. I am sure we will both be at the 5 mile mark when we pick up the cars....Joseph...

 

The Shelby is HOME...WOW, Just perfect. Will clean it up soon. Well worth it. When the supercharger kicked in about 5 miles later, WOW...Hold on. Very impressed with this Shelby. Best decision of my Life, Joseph... I will post pictures soon...

Speaking of supercharger....when my husband a I brought our Shelby home we were halfway home and my husband was driving it home. He pulled off the road and I followed him. He said that something was wrong because the supercharger was not engaged. He said the 07' Monte Carlo SS with the 5.3 would beat it! lol We went back to town and yeah 5 consecutive miles later before we hit town he down shift to second, stomped the gas and walked the car sideways. He was like yeah, it's working now! lol

Congrats on getting the car finally I ordered before you and still haven't seen it yet. Conception was the tuesday following memorial day, and has been off the train for over a week... and only 250 miles to get here ughh!! Enjoy the ride!!! ETA was june 12th Careful, I hear those tires, if not warmed up can get you in some trouble

 

Ugh I'm so jealous you ordered it exactly like I would, all black FTW! I can't wait to see pictures of this beast. The 2013+ GT500 is the reason I decided to stop spending money on my 2007 GT. I have a hard time spending money on a GT when I know it will never be a GT500. In the meantime, I will keep enjoying what I already have.
