With the expansion, there will be three versions of the GT350:
-- A naturally aspirated version for SCCA racers will use the 412-hp version of the 5.0-liter V8 from the factory, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
-- A naturally aspirated version for street use. Shelby American will tune the engine output beyond the factory 412 hp, but final numbers haven't been set. The car will be available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
-- The supercharged GT350, making about 500 hp and mated to a six-speed manual.
All of the GT350s are white with blue Le Mans stripes.
Interested? In addition to the cost of a Ford Mustang GT, you'll spend $26,995 for a naturally aspirated GT350 Mustang. If you want to step up to the supercharged version, be ready to spend $33,995, plus the cost of the car.

The blown version?
The 2011 GT500 will be around 3800 lbs
A 2011 GT is already 3603 lbs, 3625 with Brembo package. A blower kit adds another 150 lbs with fluids. Then you have a powerful, MAXED OUT engine that is on the verge of exploding while the GT500 is *asleep* at 550HP.

So how would you design it so it ties it to the GT350, and not just a 'little' GT500?
I 'get' what they were trying to do. And regardless, that hood is gorgeous!
Plus they ditched that pitiful Butt Fudge 10/11 *** end that some dumass hungover Ford committee came up with!

Wait a second. Has anyone here actually seen a PRODUCTION 2011 GT350? I didn't think so. How can you compare prototype, one-off body parts to anything? I am not a fan of Mr. Shelby by any means but let's be fair and wait till we see an actual production model, assuming one actually gets built.

Right. They stated clearly that this was a prototype and rushed to bring to press. We'll see if a "KIA" is better or not when the final production is released.

I agree. That GT350 should be right on par with the S302, Roush Stage 2, and other factory tuners that are a stop-gap between the GT and GT500. I can't fathom spending $65k on a GT350 when I can get the GT500 with all the goodies in any color I want for $58k. Like others have said, that motor is on the low end of its capabilities.
Give us a GT350 like what the Shelby GT was back in '07-08, get it right about where the Boss will end up, and charge around $42-45k for it, and you'd be in business.

Is there a redesign in the works no one seems to be aware of? With the recent turmoil and the frequent financial problems I doubt it. Barring a redesign of the prototype what you have seen is what you get.
