My Shelby just hit the lot!!!
My Shelby just hit the lot!!!
Got the call at from the dealer at 9:18am, literally 10 minutes after I passed the DARN place and saw a transport unloading SUV's. Only to find out later that my Shelby was on the transport!!!!! Got my service call wrapped up as soooooon as I possibly could then when back to the dealer and took her for our first spin together. My body was quivering, my arms were trembling, and my speech was stuttered and slurred as the salesmen attempted to get questions answered. LOLOLOL ... I literally can't recall a word he said let alone what the interior of my new 14' Shelby looks like. I was just in a "Sterling" haze. I have never felt so much power from a stock vehical. I told the sales guy that I have had a lot of sex in my life with beautiful women. But none compare to that Shelby, he laughed uncomfortably and I drove home in my work van continuing to shake and shutter
Way to go SVT and FORD!!!! More pics to follow but this is a quickie I took before I left.
A few garage pics added since it has been raining here in Pittsburgh all **** day.
It had 8.5 miles on it when I got to the dealer the SVT mechanic who is a friend of mine got it inspected for PA and took it for the required test drive by PA inspection law.
But as soon as I pulled out of the lot and dropped it into 2nd I nearly sh*t myself. That is when my flury of emotions began. Attached the window sticker, got every option except the glass roof/convertable...at least I think so...lol

Congratulations...Beautiful. I assume you drove it the 5 miles and the boost kicked in or was it already to go? Glad you shared your experience with us. More pictures and what options?...Joseph.

Your 2007 Shelby GT500 Power Train Control Module (PCM) strategy
contains a feature to limit supercharger boost pressure and engine speed
to 4000 RPM for the first five consecutive miles of vehicle operation or
50 engine start / warm up cycles. This feature is enabled prior to
shipment. If neither of these conditions have been satisfied prior to
customer delivery, full power will not be available.
This is from 2007. I assume all MY are the same. Many stated their car felt like a full truck driving up hill until the boost pressure kicked in. I am new to this. Can you explain this any better. Thank you, Joseph...

My 2013 drove like **** till the boost kicked in. I thought the clutch was ****ed up it was so bad.
I live less than 5 miles from the dealer. So when I finally dove it again, for more than 5 miles I was pleasantly surprised with my new car.
