Yeah I'd be really mad. I wonder what kind of damage his car suffered, doesnt look good sitting there. They are lucky that no one was hurt. That could have seriously injured someone or worse.

You can see the one guy watching on the opposite side point something out on the dyno and they knew it was going to get f'ed-up so they began to back away.

The owner of the car will be paying to fix it. It's pretty standard operating procedure to sign a dyno waiver. No different than racing at the track.

I fear the same thing... He likely signed a waiver. Likely leaving him stuck with the tab. I wonder with the video evidence though if he might have a slight shot in a court case?...

Man, I doubt it... there's no real reason to ever need to put your car on a dyno. I would be willing to bet that they will definitely give him some sort of hook up to repair his car though.

Waiver probably won't cover catastrophic failure like that. Generally, a waiver would cover a situation where a component of the car failed while on the dyno, the owner and operator would not be held liable. In this situation, on the other hand...

Even if he signed a waiver, if he can prove neglegence on the part of the dyno shop, he can win his case. Time for Dewey, Screwem, and How.
