Huzzah! Corvettes are challenging me now!

OK, so my old Cougar never got their interest even though I routinely beat them on the street and track (highly embarrassing to get beat by such a car ), but now they are seeking me out since I got the GT500.

Twice yesterday alone I was challenged by Corvettes - apparently the nice weather up here got some folks feelin' jiggy. I pointed one out to my kids "hey, see that car - he wants to race me." They didn't believe me as I slowly passed him and he hammered it. My oldest was kinda giddy when she realized that I called that one. I was pleased at how quickly I was able to ride up his **** while my youngest daughter was like "uhh, what are you doing".

(you'll have to excuse my excitement, I haven't had a car like this previously - people look at wave at my T-Bucket, but Corvettes never paid mind to either of my cars previously - I kinda enjoyed the encounter. )

Nuthin better than beating up on a vette. Those guys can't help themselves but try my cobra. It must look irresistible to them. Don't think I've ever passed by one that didn't want to test it. So far I haven't found one that will hang. Waiting for that new ZR1 to come try.

It's not old, old as in 1st generation - it's old - as in a 1987 20th Anny model - which is now 25 years old! Seriously though - would you be embarrassed if I blew away your previous generation Corvette at the dragstrip with this car?

Nothing to be proud about by putting a wrx or evo away. Those are track cars and are heavily handicapped on the highway with their awd and small displacement.

Corvettes have always been the standard of highway/track performance. All the more reason I don't have one. Having the under dog is always fun and challenging.

Anybody have a link to mustangs beating vettes on YouTube. I don't see any.

If you look up z4m vs corvette. That's me keeping up with an ls3 Bolton c6 with a 50 small shot...and z4m vs rx7. 75 shot vs ls1 420+whp fd t56 at only 2800lbs

I remember laughing at this shiny red Maverick Station wagon with the fake wood on the sides, looked like a mint grocery-getter - the thing wasn't even tubbed - stock tire size, 'caps 'n all - made a lot of noise and disappeared real fast - looking at the back end of that thing from your Vette would be an embarrassment!
