I assume not many have or will specially if Ford keeps the MY production low as projected. The chance of getting a dealer to accept x-plan would be on left overs next summer.

i guess they don't want the customer to save some money with their purchase.. or most of you buy the car cash no finance in that case you can always cut some $$ of the price of the car..

Cash means nothing anymore. A dealership makes more money having you finance- often they get a little cut of the action. I know dealerships that will drop the price a bit if you DO finance.

Correct most dealers get money back from the finance company so they make more if you finance then if you pay with cash.

And even if they don't get money back its the same to them, they get their cash from you or the finance company, so you get nothing better by paying cash.

If you could get the GT500 at x-plan pricing, how much would you save?

Just buy one from Knight. That's as close to x-plan as you can get.

X-plan also omits the dealer fee.

I'm being offered x plan pricing here in Canada for a 2011 GT500, it's about a $4,200 discount.

Yes, but that number seems a little low to me. They are saying it's xplan but I haven't seen the invoice.

Before deciding on a Boss it might be a good idea to try the GT500 and take it for a spin if allowed. Compared to the '08 it is night and day.

George,

I've taken out 4, 2011 GT500's. 3 with SVTPP and one without. The car is amazing! I've been very impressed with every aspect of the car. My last test drive was yesterday. I took out one just like yours. I wasn't a fan of Grabber Blue but the GT500 looks great with the GB and white stripes.

I'm not in any hurry to make a decision as winter is coming and in another month the Shelby will be parked. Within that month all the facts on the Boss should be known and the info on the 2012 GT500's will also be out, and just maybe some better pricing on current GT500's.

2011 GT500 is a great car and congrats on your recent purchase.

True dealer cost is less than "invoice".

Hardest thing is to find a dealer wanting to sell at a low price. Good deals are available, if you shop around.
