Good deal or fatal flaw? GT500 decision
Good deal or fatal flaw? GT500 decision
First time posting and I'm facing a tough decision.
I qualify for x-plan pricing but my dealer has a new 2010 w electronics package and HID headlights that he's willing to part for just below invoice.
The Nav system is something I don't really need but I'm really tempted.
Would you guys order a 2012 with x-plan or take a good deal and never look back?
Thanks in advance,
The Great Cornholio.

Up to you, but check with your Dealer to see if they Take X-Plan pricing. I bought my 2008 GT at X-Plan and wanted to get the GT500 at X-Plan but the dealer said they cant do X-Plan on the GT500. They recognize they only get a few of them and want to make their money there.
Also depends if the 2010 has Everything you want. Most people, myself included, wont want to spend the kind of Money they are asking for a GT500 unless it is exactly what you want. I was offered a Great deal on a 2010 GT500, but it wasnt the Color/Stripe combo I wanted so I passed. Now, I am ordering a 2012 GT500 exactly the way I want it!

How far below invoice? The 2010 eventhough new, is still 2 model years old. And should already be less than invoice. Id say order the 2012, or see if they can find one with what you want. Especially if you can get the x-plan on the GT500
It's roughly $1600 below invoice + (free) extended warranty to 100k and premium maintenance.
x-plan for a base 2012 is approx $45,500, this deal has me at $45K + goodies above and Nav.
I'm very thorn - are the advantages of the aluminum engine and weight reduction worth the extra couple of grand?

the aluminum block is worth it and so is the extra 10 h.p.
Get a2012 and never look back.

Personally, when your looking at that price range, whats a few extra grand to have it exactly like you want it?
pros for the 2012:
-resale
-customizable ( options)
-your color combo
- better power
-better handling.
Are you going to track it?

There is really no decision to be made here, get the 2012, you are getting a better car and will get much more of your money back when you sell it. Cars drop several thousand $'s per year and the 2010 is already 2 years old. If you really want to save money, you could always go with a used 2010, otherwise it is not even close.

You sir are WINNING!! Congrats on your new purchase. Don't forget about us when it comes in, we need PICS!!
GO GIGANTES!!
Material hold is due to electronics and nav coming from Japan. I was going to order a 2012, and this is what I found out. It took awhile, but I ended up finding one in stock at a dealer, picking her up Saturday.

I'm finding out that electronics w nav and paint are causing some of the holds.
Does anybody know what this does to an x-plan order?
