The local one is white with Red stripes and they will sell it to me at a resonable price.....just wished it was all white with out stripes. Seems like the solid white without stripes will be for sale for some time. My son is working on my to pull the trigger on local one....he said its a GT500....which all have stripes....he told me if I want one without stripes to buy the new 5.0. Smart kid!

Just peel the stripes off. A heat gun or a hot summer day make it very easy to remove them.

The stripes can easily be removed. Your kid may be smart but he doesn't have the wisdom of an old man like me.

You can do that as long as he doesn't mind the red striped in the seat. Which I actually do like the red inserts in the seats even if the car was unstriped on the outside.

Hey like George said I do work for Ford. Thanks George.

Let me know if you need help with any details.

There is one in a dealer 22miles from me, I could trade them for one of ours to get it for you. Its at Golf Mill Ford now.

Its White coupe without stripes, SVTPP, Electronics pack, and car cover. Let me know if you need me to do anything.

edit: MSRP on it is $55705. Not saying you'll pay that but just so you know.

Sorry for so many messages in a row.

Foothill Ford in North Carolina has that exact car too.

If the exterior stripes is your only gripe then PEEL THEM OFF. It is not that big of a deal. I suggested this earlier but I guess my post was ignored.

Am I gonna have post in size 72 or something? It works when Shaun does it...

I spoke to Tom Devito from PA today....great guy....great dealer! Anyone looking for a GT500 or any ford call him...straight shooter.

He helped me locate several. The one in NC is sold, located one in Cinci....the dealer added stripes!!! I am still in shock on that one. I called a dealer in Romeo, MI...said he would sell it to me for sticker...they have it marked up over sticker!!!!! Last I read...heck I have family outside detroit....and the economy sucks...and everyone up in the area can get x plan, a plan....so I am shocked what they want sticker.

I am open to pay invoice...or a $100 over invoice. I am thinking of waiting for the 2012..since I can order one Nov 8th...since half of these dealers are crazy. The local one is very appealing. I am going to go and look at it again this weekend. I really wanted all white with all black interior.

Knight...give me a call or email me...

804-662-0249 or stauf125@aol.com

Thanks for all the help. I really don't want to buy a car with the stripes and remove them...I have thought of it though. I really thought with the economy moving along so slowly...this would be very simple.

Thanks everyone....

Bought mine from Knight (Chris) and drove from Tennessee to get it. Great experience with their team.

For the benefit of those who have not pulled the trigger why don't you summarize your driving experience during the trip on how responsive the car is with respect to steering, handling, shifting, its performance, creature comforts, and anything else which stands out in your mind. Thanks.

There's little chance a dealer will immediately suggest you pay invoice or $100 over invoice when trying to sell you an in-stock Shelby. You'll have to barter well, but it's possible to achieve such a sale price.

What the hell is the big deal with removing the stripes??? I'm sure the dealer would do it in a heartbeat for you and probably without charge.
You'll have almost zero chance of ordering a 2012 and getting invoice pricing on it.
I'm getting x plan on the '11 I'm looking at and saving about $4500 off of sticker.

This.

Saying you won't get a car because you don't want to remove the vinyl stripes is like saying you won't sleep with your wife because you don't like the color of her dress.

In both cases, just take it off!

My only suggestion to potential buyers, drive a normal and a SVTPP. The performance package is just that. If you are buying it for a weekend drive now and again, pass on the SVTPP.
