Wow. All that and nav too....

Also note how the car's gearing doesn't suit this course particularly well, he's running out of RPM's in a lot of places. I bet there's more than a few tenth's left in the car.

If you guys notice that isn't the stock drivers seat. Who else knows what has been done to the car. I'd like to see a 2010 GT500 Coupe vs 2011 GT500 Coupe vs 2011 GT500 Coupe with SVT Package matchup. I don't believe the difference is that big.

I bet it is a good size difference...much better tires, gears, and revamped suspension pieces....just my .02 cents.

Gears are nearly a wash because of tire circumference.

That video was posted by FORD. I would hope they would have kept the mods to a minimum (seat and a four point cage)

It looks like a lot of fun but it is no way close to being a fine wine.

A link is posted to the Car and Driver Lightning Lap Cumulative results. This puts the 2011 Shelby GT500 performance in proper perspective (and it's excellent).
Mosler MT900S 0:02:46 LL5
Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe ACR 0:02:49 LL3
Ferrari 430 Scuderia 0:02:55 LL5
Nissan GT-R 0:02:56 LL3
Dodge Viper SRT10 0:02:57 LL3
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 0:02:58 LL3
Nissan GT-R (all-season tires) 0:02:59 LL3
As you can see, the 2011 GT500's performance, 2:58.5, places ahead of the GT-R, 2:59.0, with all seasons and just behind the Z06 running 2:58 flat.

yup, because knocking 100 lbs off the front tires, revamping the entire suspension and adding way stickier tires won't do much at all for lap times. This must be straight up propaganda from Ford. C'mon, safety equipment? NOT STOCK!!!

I have driven the track before. It is a lot of fun. The Cobra Club will be there Memorial day weekend.

If just once in my lifetime Ford can find a professional driver who can keep control of their top of the line Mustang for three minutes, that's a full 180 seconds for the math wiz kids, I will be one of the first Mustang enthusiasts to offer compliments and participate in a standing ovation.

Seafuse, Gue or Wilden? One of them must have 180 seconds to spare! Probably be more like 165 for them

Sure it helps but I'd like to see back to back tests with the car in STOCK form like C&D did.
