Standard HID's? Now every GT500 is going to look cross-eyed

I'm looking forward to someone doing a test between the 2010 and 2011 without the SVT PP. The biggest difference between 2010 and 2011 will be for vert drivers.

At most the 2011 GT500 is 120 lbs lighter overall than the 2010 and that's with the SVT PP.
The 150 was a typo. Ford states 120 in their press release. That being said, the difference in weight along with the EPAS should feel different to enthusiasts.

We are talking about the PP here, aren't we?

The PP still has street tires. Put some R compounds on the car and it would be another 3-5 seconds faster (loose rule of thumb)

The PP has the Goodyear Supercar G2 which are R compound. This is per Ford.

It's the small stripes a standard or only in STV package?

You guys think this will effect the current price of '10 GT500s? I have a feeling that '10GTs and base models are going to take a beating in resale value. Though the improvements on the GT500 are not as radical it is still very impressive. I guess it is good having the Camaro around.

It is funny that the 07-09 GT500 saw no mechanical changes yet this new gen GT500 does so much in just one model year.

I'm glad I did not buy a 2010.

R compounds:

The new GY's are probably comparable to Pilot PS2, which are a street tire (Max Performance).

As a 2010 owner I'm not upset I bought one. I got a hell of a price and at the end of the day saved thousands over a new 2011 (not to mention I've been driving it since July). That money will allow me to have a 2010 that's much faster than a stock 2011 even with the SVT package. The only way I'll get a 2011 at this point is to find someone dumb enough to buy my 2010 for what I paid.

The more I look at the svt PP the more the stripes dont' bother me and I really like the wheels. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a little more performance out of an already potent machine. Best part is its under warranty...

Congrats!

Funny thing is, now the normal stripes are looking a bit too wide and need an outline

Maybe, I've seen two used GT500's on a Kia and Chevy lot and both of them were asking 40k for low mileage 2007+ cars.

Are the small stripes for all 2011 or just SVT Package?

That is cool, something just a "Little" Different than the standard, yet giving the Full Shelby Stripes for those who like the originals.

I personnally like the larger Shelby Stripes... I think they should have went with one Stripe for the SVT package, that would Look better.

I think Shelby would have a problem with that since that's what they do for the Super Snake.
