2011 Shelby GT350 Styling Inspired By Original
Gotta say, I really like the '11 GT350 a lot. I don't like the steep price tag, but the car is unique and should be quite the performer. The final front/rear bumper covers are going to be cleaned up a bit for production and that will make it perfect, IMO.
I'm liking this clean crisp look and slightly understated, nice job, to bad the car did not come in between thre GT and GT 500, but that's the American way.
The GT350 will be a nice car, I'm not in the market though.....GG

I sort of wonder if the center exhaust has more to do with the lines of the '66. The smooth white panel with no L/R exhaust coming thru to break the lines on each side, and being able to see the diff cover in the center. The new one carries the same unbroken line on the L/R side and you see 'metal' in the center.
Just a guess... but they carried the '66 front over to the new one in a similar fashion.

Here is my tweaks for the front:

Some of the stuff is hard to tell, like the shortened (height) front bumper and slightly tweaked side edges of the upper grill. Still not 100% on the sides yet though.....
Still doesn't look like a $70k car though, especially given the relatively small amount of upgrades -- especially to the suspension (where it needs it most IMHO). But, at least better.

With all due respect to those that penned the Shelby GT350, Rampant's is just about perfect. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider some of these changes for the production car
Whilst he won't want the idea "borrowed", Doug (Burningman) has a great solution. Two vertical LED srips either side of the license plate.
