2011 GT500 Invoice Pricing

I had my dealer spec out a 2011 GT500 just like my 2010 to see how much it would run.

Retail Invoice
Shelby Coupe Base Price
$48645.00 $43999.00
Electronics Package
$2340.00 $2036.00
Fuel Charge
NA $43.68
FDAF Assessment
NA $450.00
Destination and Delivery
$850.00 $850.00
Total
51835.00 $47378.68

At this point there is no Gas Guzzler tax like on my 2010 order.

The Sticker on my 2010 which also had the cover (HID now included) was $51,270.00

I'm wondering what kind of deal we could get on an 11.

MSRP, Markup, or somewhere between invoice and MSRP.

When it gets down to invoice + 1000.... I'm in trouble!

I have my price at $55,705 - Be around $61,000 out the door tax and all... 8.875% from NY hurts!!!

Kinda makes me ill to see there is a fair mark-up of $4,500 in the car and yet some dealerships want ANOTHER $5k-$10K beyond that. Those dealers lose all my business going forward... Let's be real, Dealerships are here to make money, as are all businesses - kind of implied in the name. They have staff to pay and bills to maintain the business. A 10% profit on an item is not unreasonable. It just hurts when you know that 10%= $5,000 (on a car) as opposed to $5.00 on a $50 item.

Keep in mind there is more profit in the car beyond the difference between MSRP and invoice.

Well, yeah.. Dealer Holdback, financing interest, etc... Plus there's fords profit on the price they sell to the dealer.

Short is, nothing warrants over MSRP, but at the same time, there has to be a fair ROI. I believe we need to support our local (honest, quality) dealers so their doors stay open in the future for service and sales.

Does anbody know if you can do x plan with gt500's? I remember going to a dealership in early 2009 asking about x plan for an 09, and they said it did not apply. Wonder if that is still true.

You still can't do x plan for the GT500.
