13 GT500 goes 11.8x
http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...-commerce.html
Start reading on page 6 or so of this thread. Times were with launch control on and these cars were heat soaked bad.
The 11.8x is actual time and not corrected. Speculation is this car is good for 11.5x times in good air with a skilled driver 100 percent stock. This car hauls the mail.
I dont know what the 0 to 60 times are but I wonder if Al O's simulation had this car running this fast?
Didnt the ZL1 run 12.5's?

The 11.89 run by Evan Smith was "after literally 30 hot laps" with traction control and on stock tires. Sorry, Big Al, your simulations were wrong. The ZL1 doesn't stand a chance.

If any of that is true...wow. That hitler video someone did spoofing GM is starting to look a lot closer to the real thing.
I cannot wait to get my foot in the throttle.

Here's MM&FF's Evan Smith running an 11.81 @ 123 with launch control ON. This is after "30 or more hot laps." With a little more seat time and the electro-nannies turned off, I'd say 11.5's are definitely possible. With DR's and some skinnies up front, this car may knock on the door of some high-ten-second times...

Thanks for posting, but that has to be the worst quality video ever. And the time is not even revealed in it.

Yeah, sorry, the video isn't mine, but I agree, it's awful. I don't think they'd lie about the times, though. Go over to svtperformance.com and read the thread on the runs in Atlanta; apparently, 11.8's were the norm among even the novice drivers. In my opinion, that's a testament to Ford's new LC system and its consistency, not to mention the efficiency of the 2.3L Eaton TVS and its intercooler / heat exchanger.

Hopefully this will put the traction naysayers to rest as well. These times with TC on are certainly impressive. I can't wait to see what the aftermarket will do with these monsters.

That's not the video of evans best run, he was in the black with white stripes car, not red stripes..this is the video of his second run...

A few observations after the reviews have come out:
- I have yet to read anyone complain about lack of traction. Seems that those who questioned it were in the wrong. The TC and launch control do a good job of keeping the tires hooked up. I have, however, seen comments that you have to roll into the power (obviously).
- The pictures of the MT car (white/blue stripes) are of a combo that I don't know if it's available. The Ford B&P site only show Grabber Blue seats and stripes, but the car they tested had a darker, almost DIB colored stripe and seat, which I loved.
- In the Jalopnik article, I saw mentioned that only 7% of owners track the car. In the grand scheme of things, it's starting to make more sense why Ford didn't offer the PP and TP as standard fare in the car. Sure, the take rates will be higher than 7% for both (thinking more like 20-30%), but pound for pound, dollar for dollar, the GT500 still seems to make a bit more sense if you want a weekend cruiser.
- Also mentioned in one article, the 2013 rear spoiler is larger than it's 2010-2012 counterpart. I'd like to see them side by side to see exactly how much bigger it is.

The stripes offered on Ford.com are the reason I didn't go for the white with blue stripes. Had I been able to get the dark blue stripes, I may have opted for that instead of the combo I ended up taking. Fortunately, even if I find out it's possible to get that combination from the factory, I'm not so in love with it that I'd hate my eventual choice of a black car.

Ford build and price site is wrong as usual. Have to go by the color listed in the actual order guide. It will not be grabber blue but will be sonic blue I think. Can't remember for sure. Sonic or Vista.
Anyway it also shows stripes on the roof of a glass roof car which is wrong. The site used to show stripes being deleted from the hood.
