Initially I thought so also but it was on the list as a must only the GT CS 402A Package so I was able to avoid that extra cost with the car and really didnt want it...

You may not regret that 24 miles in the future. My '97 Cobra was test driven, and the car was flawless the whole time I owned it. No rattles, squeeks or warranty repairs. I was told after the test drive the car is returned and any issues are taken care of before it leaves the factory.

I like the look. I also had a '79 Cobra, Silver over Black with the center hood black out, like the pace car. I took it to Germany, and sold it there when we rotated back in '82. She had 44,000 miles on the odometer. The Germans loved that model, at the time.

Talking All Done!!

The Mustang is all finished, the body shop did an awesome job putting all the items on the car! This is where it will be for the next few weeks in the air conditioned show room! It will be getting the 3M Clear Bra and the GT500 rear mud flaps before its on the road.... It's sick! Thats My 13 yo Son Connor who has already claimed it as his.....Well someday...

The pace car that Ford initially built is a Brembo car with a few other goodies and a lowered suspension. Hmmm. Still cool though.

It sure was and I'm kinda sad that the GT CS because of the wheels are not able to get the Brembo Pkg. One thing is I want the grill that was on the original Daytona car and most here thinking that might be the boss grill but Shelby/Roush used it on the SR 71... So I'll wait..

Your car is way cool. I am confused though. They are not making Pace Car replicas, you buy a Mustang and have the dealer do a conversion from a box of some of the parts?
