Gotta love nitrous!
i have the obx headers that i bought off of jeff. they went on without any problems other than having to use some new bolts on the drivers side. the quality is good, all the welds look great.
pull the starter and disconnect the steering shaft, jack the engine up a little and they go on pretty quick, i did mine in the garage by myself with no problem. the only thing to watch out for is the drivers side hitting the steering shaft, i had to pull mine back off and flatten it out where it contacted the steering shaft, now no problems.
if you are thinking of motor mounts, do them at the same time, they are a pain after you get the headers on!@

Good tips Doc!
Doc... did you notice any dif in power with th e headers? How about the motor mounts? NHV?
i don't know about any power increases, the exhaust sounds meaner. there is a little increase in nvh with the motor mounts but it is not to much
They are most loud! That's for sure.

Well we got my brothers motor in and started! Prrrs like a kitten. let her get up to operating temperature...changed the oil....drove her for 15 miles keeping her under 3500Rpms....changed the oil again. Now there is a 500mi break in period increasing the RPMs as the milage goes up...then changing the oil again. Going to put synthetic in her after the 1000mi mark. There are some kinks we need to work out... we think the exhaust is rubbing on the body a little. Also you can feel the motor (vibration) a little more than normal...you can feel it in the steering wheel and the shifter...vibrates a little. Its possibly the Prothane Motor Mounts we installed (ya think?)
Yep The mounts + if the exhaust is touching the body you will get some vibration from that as well.
We're you driving? If so, I'd go with the driver....
durr durr durr... There is also a popping sound when the clutch pedal is depressed.... Clutch is working fine...but again there is an ominious pop....any thoughts on that David?
Cable perhaps?
went to archangel today and jeff's car is close to being done.Kurtis is going to have a good facility when completed. He asked about my tune and wanted to know if there were any problems.I think i will look for a mgw shifter.I would also like the steeda tri ax.
The tri-ax is what I have and I love it.
